In a recent video, which is from a party, we can see an enthusiastic Suhana Khan, dressed in an off-shoulder sequin silver dress, grooving and twirling to the song and oh boy, she knows what to wear at a party and how to rock it at the same time, quite literally! Suhana Khan was the cover girl of the esteemed Vogue Indian magazine last year for the month of August. Her proud father, Shah Rukh Khan, had shared the following picture from the launch of the same and had written, “Holding her in my arms again thanks to @vogueindia. ‘What imperfect carriers of love we are...” except when it comes to our children. Shah Rukh Khan, in an interview, talking about Suhana Khan had shared that nepotism will not pay off well for Suhana. Reasoning out why, the superstar had revealed, “I hope it is not taken as an entitlement because she happens to be Shah Rukh Khan’s daughter but I hope it is seen as a responsibility that Suhana now has. Thank you very much for giving her this opportunity. She is 18. She is lovely, sensitive, sweet and extremely shy but also extremely strong. And I just want to thank you all who were behind all this and for making her look so nice. I will be proud of her when she is proud of herself and the job that she does and Insha’Allah she will do that.”
Along the similar lines, in an interview, when Shah Rukh Khan was asked if his daughter Suhana Khan would have an edge over others considering she is his daughter, he had replied, “Suhana’s not working towards a promise of being cast. She’s working towards being an actor, and she knows that. I keep insisting that I don’t want them designed as stars, I want them to be launched when they are good-enough actors.”
Speaking of Suhana Khan, Shah Rukh Khan had attended the Kolkata Film Festival last year and his statements on her complexion were misconstrued and had created an uproar on social media. It was reported that he had said, “I’ll be honest; my daughter is sanwli (dusky), but she’s the most beautiful girl in the world. And nobody can tell me otherwise.” However, his real statement was, “My daughter is sanwli (dusky), AND she’s the most beautiful girl in the world.”
He had further added, “How can I belittle someone on any of these seven-eight aspects? My wife, my children, I am all normal people and by saying so, I would be abusing my entire family.
