It is worth mentioning that this is not the first time Ssara has been targeted for marrying a Hindu man. In the now-deleted post, Ssara shared an insensitive comment by an Instagram user on her interfaith marriage, and in the caption, the Preet Se Bandhi Ye Dori Ram Milaayi Jodi actress gave a befitting reply to the trolls. The user wrote, "So, in the whole world, you only found a Hindu to marry? So disappointing. Remove 'Khan' from your name. You are not a Muslim anymore." Ssara’s caption can be read as:

"Disappointed ???? Sad .. go die out of this disappointment."

On October 9, 2025, the Sapna Babul Ka ... Bidaai actress took to her Instagram handle and shared a video. In the clip, Ssara got candid about her and her husband, Krish Pathak’s difference in religion. She highlighted that both their religions taught them love. She also slammed trolls who criticised the interfaith union. She added a special message for the trolls and said that they must not put down other religions or beliefs or disrespect anyone. She was quoted as saying:

"Krish and I belong to different cultures, but we believe both our religions taught us love. Our families taught us to respect others first and not to hurt anyone. We also think so, we think alike...I want to thank all the positive well-wishers for your immense love. We are sharing our marital status with our well-wishers and not asking for anyone’s approval because we already have the approval of our families and the law. No one has any right to comment between me and my God. No religion teaches you to say bad words or interfere in someone’s life."

Ssara Khan and Krish Pathak’s love story began on a dating app. The duo then decided to meet in person. Soon, they decided to take the next step in their relationship. On October 6, 2025, the couple had a court marriage after dating for one year. After 2 months of court marriage, Ssara tied the knot with Krish as per Hindu and Muslim traditions. Ssara is a Muslim, thus a nikaah ceremony was arranged, and Krish is a Hindu, thus the duo followed Hindu rituals, including saat phere. It was Ssara’s father who did her kanyadaan. Speaking about their love story, Ssara told Times Now:

"We met on a dating app, and then we decided to meet (in person). And then, our meeting turned into marriage. I am a spiritual person, and he is a spiritual person too. He is very creative when it comes to filmmaking. He is very passionate like me, someone who likes to work and likes to try new things. Everything altogether just attracted me towards him to bond with him forever."
