Sreeleela On Embracing Motherhood And Adopting 3 Children At The Age Of 24, 'Not A Mother Mother..'

Sreeleela is a well-known actress. While she has built a strong professional life for herself with her impeccable acting and dancing journey, her personal life has not been short of anything either. At just 24 years old, the actress has adopted three children, embracing motherhood at its best. And now, in a recent conversation with Galatta Plus, the actress has opened up about her decision to become a mother.

Sreeleela opens up about adopting three children at the age of 24

Sreeleela recently sat for a conversation with Galatta Plus and reflected on becoming a mother. Yes! The young actress is a mom to three beautiful children. And now she has openly talked about it for the first time. The actress rarely shares pictures and videos of her babies on social media. However, every rare occasion makes the internet collectively melt. When asked about how she manages her career and motherhood. At first, Sreeleela brushed it off, saying that whatever celebrities do gets 'exaggerated' and hence she likes to keep that part private.

However, Sreeleela then got candid about her children and revealed that they don't live with her; they are being taken care of. She also expressed her desire to stay with them and added that she gets extremely emotional when she talks about them. She was quoted as saying:

"I fall short of words and get jittery when I talk about it. But it's taken care of. I'm not a mother mother because there's an entirely different story to that."

Sreeleela reveals how she met her children

In the same conversation, Sreeleela revealed that she decided to adopt after visiting an ashram during the shoot of her 2019 film, Kiss. The actress reflected on how she got involved with the children and kept this part of her life a secret for an extremely long time. However, the institution urged her to talk about the adoption so more people could be inspired to do the same. She was quoted as saying:

"It was a film (Kiss in 2019) I did early on in my career in Kannada that my director decided to take me to an ashram. The kids live there. We speak on the phone, and I keep visiting them there. It was a secret for the longest time. The institution wanted me to talk about it so that more people are encouraged. I don't want to be given credit for anything, but I want people to start looking in that direction."

When did Sreeleela adopt her children?

Sreeleela adopted two differently-abled children, Guru and Shobitha, in February 2022, when she was only 21 years old. The actress welcomed another little angel to the family in April 2025, months ahead of her 24th birthday. In the interview with Galatta Plus, Sreeleela also commented that she might not be a perfect girlfriend in today's times, but she has very strong maternal instincts and often shows love to people around her, as her mother does to her. In April 2025, the actress shared a picture of her little princess on social media and wrote:

"Addition to the house. Invasion of the hearts. To more suffocating smothering."

Sreeleela's recent work 

Sreeleela appeared in several projects in 2025, including Robinhood, Junior, and Mass Jathara. The actress is debuting in Tamil this Pongal with Sudha Kongara's Parasakthi, alongside Sivakarthikeyan and Ravi Mohan. She will make her Hindi debut soon with a film directed by Anurag Basu and starring Kartik Aaryan. She also has Harish Shankar's Ustaad Bhagat Singh with Pawan Kalyan lined up.
