The unsolved case of popular actress, Jiah Khan’s suicide finally got a closure on April 28, 2023. According to the CBI court, the accused actor, Sooraj Pancholi, who had allegedly abetted the late actress to commit suicide, was acquitted from the case in its latest verdict due to the lack of evidence. And now, the actor, after getting released from the case, distributed sweets to the media post his victory.
While scrolling through our IG feed, we stumbled upon one video from outside Sooraj Pancholi’s residence. The actor was seen approaching the media with folded arms and a humble gesture. He shook hands with many of them, post which his team distributed sweets to the media in a note of victory. However, when asked to comment about the case, the actor kept mum and walked away.

Well, it was a win of truth in the case of Sooraj, however, a certain section of the netizens were absolutely against this action undertaken by the actor. Taking to the post's comment section, they slammed the actor for his apparent inhuman gesture of sharing happiness over the death of a person. While some of the netizens felt that the verdict was rigged and justice was undelivered, others felt that the actor should feel ashamed after trying to celebrate the death of a person in this manner.

The sudden death of Jiah Khan had been a highly debatable topic back then, and it turned worse when a CBI probe was issued behind it. Moreover, the late actress’ boyfriend, Sooraj Pancholi, was also dragged in the case for allegedly abetting Jiah to commit suicide. While the actor seldom spoke and opened up on his side of the story, Sooraj once broke the silence and shared his feelings. In an interview with Pinkvilla, he mentioned:
“I have actually been silent because I respect that family. I respect what the family has been through. I was put in the Anda cell at the Arthur Road jail which is the most secluded cell. You have no contact with anyone and you don't even get newspapers. I was completely numb. At that point, nothing mattered. All that I kept thinking was that I lost someone who I loved.
