Sonu Sood has become a messiah for everyone as his contribution to supporting the ones suffering severely in the COVID-19 pandemic is notable. In 2020, when the entire nation was under lockdown, sitting at home, Sonu had come out to help the migrant workers and since then, his COVID relief helpline has been working continuously.

While Sonu Sood and his team have been working restlessly to help the ones in need, on Saturday, i.e., on June 19, 2021, a video about the actor and his son had gone viral over the internet. It was claimed that Sonu had gifted his son a swanky car worth Rs 3 crore ahead of Father’s Day. It was reported that Sonu had gifted his son, Eshaan Sood the newly launched Mercedes-Maybach GLS600 in black colour.
Now, in a conversation with SpotboyE, Sonu Sood refuted the rumours and shared that the car was brought to his home for trial and he had not bought it. He said, “There is no truth to this. I haven’t bought a car for my son. The car was brought to our home for a trial. We went on a test run. But that’s it. We didn’t buy the car.”
Sonu further shared that his son should be the one gifting him things. He added, “Why would I give my son a car on Father’s Day? Shouldn’t he be giving me something? After all, it's my day!” He then shared the gift he received from his sons and added, “Jokes aside, the best Father's Day gift my two sons can give me is to spend the day with me. I hardly have any time for them. Now that they’re growing up, they have their own life. So spending the day together is a luxury that I think I’ve earned myself.”

Sonu also thanked the netizens for their support on the reports of his luxury purchase. He said, “I think 90 percent of the comments below the reports were favourable. They said, if I had purchased a car it’s about time I did something for myself and my family. This positivity and unquestioning love that I’ve got during these months when I have reached out to people with a helping hand, are the best gift I’ve received in my life.”
Of late, people had also questioned Sonu about his source of income for doing all the charities. He reacted on them and said, “No matter how much the skeptics try to influence public opinion against me, my good work won’t be doubted by my well-wishers out there. Let them ask the questions. I have the answers for those I am answerable to. The rest I don’t care about. The doubters can’t deter me from my work. I will continue to help the needy.”
Talking about Sonu Sood’s personal life, the actor is married to the first love of his life, Sonali and the two had tied the knot on September 25, 1996. He has two sons, Eshaan Sood and Ayaan Sood.
