Bollywood actress, Sonam Kapoor is the daughter of the evergreen actor, Anil Kapoor and his wife, Sunita Kapoor. Following in her daddy's footsteps, Sonam has already proved her mettle in acting. Now, she is enjoying her parenthood phase for the first time with her hubby, Anand Ahuja since August 20, 2022, when the duo was blessed with a baby boy. Since then, the newbie mommy often shares cutesy glimpses of her motherhood journey and delights her massive fanbase with the same.
It was on September 20, 2022, when Sonam Kapoor and her darling husband, Anand Ahuja had shared the first glimpse of their son to mark the latter's first-month birthday. Taking to their respective IG handles, they shared a family portrait, wherein the three of them were seen twinning in designer, Anamika Khanna's yellow-coloured outfit. Along with it, the doting parents revealed their baby boy's name, Vayu Kapoor Ahuja and had mentioned:
"In the spirit of the force that has breathed new meaning into our lives. In the spirit of Hanuman and Bheem who embody immense courage and strength. In the spirit of all that is sacred, life-giving and eternally ours, we seek blessings for our son, Vayu Kapoor Ahuja. In Hindu scriptures Vayu is one of the paanch tatvas. He is the deity of breath, the spiritual father of Hanuman, Bheem and Madhav and He is the incredibly powerful lord of wind. Thank you for your continued wishes and blessings for Vayu and his family."

The gorgeousness, Sonam Kapoor is also her daddy, Anil Kapoor's favourite and glimpses of the same are often found on the duo's respective IG handles. For instance, a few moments back, Sonam Kapoor took to her IG stories and reshared a cutesy picture from a photoshoot from her childhood days along with her daddy. In the picture, little Sonam looked cute as a button in a white jumpsuit paired with a multi-coloured top underneath and ponytails. She was seen feeding her loving daddy, and the picture was too cute for words. The picture was from an old photoshoot of the Malayalam Magazine, Star and Style's 1986 August Edition, and the topic of the article featuring Sonam and Anil read as:
"The Baby Who Makes Anil Kapoor's 'Day' Sonam - The Lucky One."
Currently, Anil Kapoor is also enjoying the new phase of his life as a nanu. Earlier, during his upcoming film, JugJugg Jeeyo's promotions, Anil Kapoor was asked to whom his daughter, Sonam Kapoor had first shared her 'good news'. To this, the loving daddy revealed that Sonam had called her mother, Sunita Kapoor and had communicated the news. During that time, Anil was also sitting over there, right in front of his wife. Afterwards, he also spoke to Sonam, and it was an extremely emotional moment for him. Then, mentioning that he had also got teary-eyed upon hearing Sonam's 'good news', he had said:
"She called up and shared the news with Sunita. I was sitting right there. I also spoke to Sonam. A very very emotional moment. I felt very happy. I got teary-eyed."

Not only that, since Sonam was spending quality time with her husband, Anand at their London house, her father, Anil couldn't celebrate her birthday together. However, to make her birthday special, on June 9, 2022, the doting daddy had taken to his IG handle and shared a series of pictures with her. Alongside the pictures, he also penned a heartfelt note mentioning his excitement for not only her but also for his grandchild. Anil's caption could be read as:
"Dear @sonamkapoor, If there's anything that makes up for not being able to celebrate your birthday with you this year, it's the anticipation that the next time we see you, we'll be that much closer to holding our grandchild in our arms!Parenthood is a see saw between being happy for your children as they create their own lives and being sad that they're not always around you anymore....you'll see for yourself soon enough! Happy birthday my darling girl! We can't wait to see you, Anand and our little prince(ss) soon!"
