On July 30, 2018, Anand S Ahuja is celebrating his 35th birthday, and his lovely wife wished him with a very special message.
Wishing 'the love of her life', Anand S Ahuja on his birthday, Sonam Kapoor Ahuja wrote, “To the love of my life and the kindest gentlest soul I know, a very very happy birthday! Even Anand took his Insta story to share his birthday cake which was gifted to him by Sonam. He captioned it, "@sonamkapoor... you are my wings." In an Insta story shared by Sonam, the excited wifey tries to capture her birthday man but he is busy on his phone. Sonam then says to him, “Will you get off your phone babu?”, to which, Anand looks up and strikes an adorable pose for his lady-love soon after. Aren’t these two super-cute?
Soon after their wedding on May 08, 2018, Sonam headed to the Cannes Film Festival and Anand also went back to his business. Anand, who recently opened his sneaker store Veg Non Veg in Mumbai, spoke about how he and Sonam strike a balance in their life with their careers. Anand was quoted as saying to the Filmfare, “My best friends are from here. I know more people here than in Delhi. However, my work is based out of the capital. He further continued, “When it comes to marriage, small things matter a lot. We eat meals together, even if we are in different time zones, on Skype. We also actively make sure that we don’t go over two weeks without seeing each other.” Anand also credited his lovely wife for giving a distinct shape to his Mumbai outlet too.
Anand Ahuja went on to say, "I got clarity on the label after I met Sonam. She is decisive, and I am the exact opposite. She intuitively knows what's good for me. She has brought a lot of clarity to my life. This store reflects a personality thanks to her. We wanted to create a plaza — there is a coffee shop and a cupcake store. We wanted to create a niche brand with a unique story behind it. We are launching a new line in September."
Hoping to build a brand with his fashionista wife, Ahuja stated, "Sonam and I would love to build a brand together. She gets fashion, I get fabrics. Besides her [apparel line] Rheson, she is also involved with our label." Admitting to being hopelessly romantic, Anand also revealed that their courtship too was old-school. "We would talk over the phone. It was seven weeks before we actually met. By then, we knew we were in love, but met in person to solidify it. At the end of the day, it's about being patient."
