BJP leader, Sonali Phogat had taken her last breath on August 23, 2022, in Goa. While many claimed that she had a heart attack, her family was sure something was fishy. However, it was Sonali Phogat's sister, Ramen Phogat strongly believed that her sister was killed. In fact, she had also opened up about her conversation with Sonali Phogat a day before the dreadful incident.
For those who don't know, Sonali was brought to St. Anthony Hospital at Anjuna in the North Goa district after she had complained of uneasiness. In an interview with the PTI, Goa Director General of Police, Jaspal Singh revealed that the actress had complained of uneasiness while she was dining at Curlies restaurant.

Now, a report in the PTI revealed that the post-mortem of Sonali Phogat revealed she had multiple blunt force injuries on her body. The autopsy report added a new angle to the mysterious death of Sonali in Goa. After which, the Goa police registered a murder case and charged two associates, Sudhir Sagwan and Sukhwinder Singh as accused in the case. These two men had accompanied Phogat when she had arrived in Goa.
A police officer revealed that they had registered a case based on the complaint filed by her brother, Rinku Phogat. Earlier, Sonali's sister, Ramen revealed that her sister told her she was feeling uneasy and wasn't feeling comfortable after eating her food. Ramen had said:
"Our mother spoke with her yesterday and Sonali told her, ‘Mummy, I am feeling slightly upset in the stomach. I can sense some problem soon after eating my food as if somebody was doing something to me.’ Sonali also said that she was feeling as if something was not alright and as if some conspiracy was being played on her and as if somebody was doing something to her."
