Soha Ali Khan and Kunal Kemmu had first met on the sets of the film, Dhoondte Reh Jaaoge. During the filming, she was certain that Kunal was not her type and the two can never be friends. It was only after their second film, 99, they had started having feelings for one another. It was in 2014 when Kunal had popped the question to Soha in Paris, to which she had promptly replied ‘yes’. The two had gotten engaged in 2014 and on January 25, 2015, the gorgeous princess of the Pataudi khandaan had tied the knot with the handsome hunk, Kunal Kemmu.
Even after five years of marital bliss, the couple has been giving relationship goals to the millennials. And Soha has given all the credit to her loving husband, Kunal. On July 17, 2020, Soha took to her Instagram handle and shared a picture with Kunal. Along with the picture, Soha penned a note talking about how Kunal never took their relationship for granted. Her note can be read as “The seven-year itch is a real thing, I am told - that slump long-term couples face around the seven-year mark when you may start to feel restless or dissatisfied. You may or may not buy into it but I think it’s good advice not to take your relationship for granted. She further wrote, how Kunal took all the initiatives to keep that spark alive in their marriage. She continued, “In 2020, between work, chores and engaging our rather energetic toddler, we haven’t really had enough quality time to spend with each other. But Kunal has always been quite the romantic, and seven years of living together has only made him more determined to make us the best we can be. He keeps sending me these bizarre pick-up lines through the day. And the timing is so off! I randomly get a text when I’m trying to teach Inaaya the continents or when I’m on a video call with my mom. Now that I think of it, he does it on purpose! And of course, I laugh out loud - he’s always made me laugh, even during the most grim of times. For us, it’s the butterflies that found a way, all over again.”
