Indian cricket team's vice-captain, Smriti Mandhana, made her first post on social media after postponing her wedding to singer-composer, Palaash Muchhal, on November 23, 2025. However, fans were quick to notice that Smriti wasn't wearing her engagement ring, which sparked further concern.
On December 5, 2025, Smriti shared her first post after her wedding was cancelled on the big day, and no details of a new wedding date have yet been made public. In the paid partnership post with toothpaste brand Colgate, the World Cup vice-captain winner expressed her emotions when she won the final match.

However, fans were quick to notice her missing engagement ring, while others wondered if the video was shot before the engagement or proposal day. One fan commented, "Why does it feel like she is sad? She is smiling, but her voice and her eyes look like she is sad, and she is not wearing her engagement ring." Another user on X (formerly Twitter) stated that she didn't have mehendi on her hand, which means it was shot before her engagement. The user wrote, "Look at her hands, there’s no mehendi colour on them, which means this was before the engagement." Another penned, "Are ye shadi k pahle hi shoot hua hai I think proposal k pahle bhi jab ye Mumbai me hi thi."
