It has just been 24 hours since Smriti Mandhana's Indian cricket team won their match against Australia. Smriti scored a match-winning 82 and secured a win against Australia. Now, the cricketer, a while back, took to her Instagram Stories to share about her real feelings. The note that Smriti shared appeared cryptic, but it has a profound meaning.

Smriti Mandhana, a day after winning the T20I series against Australia, shared a motivational post. Smriti, shared a quote in which it was written that sports does not care about anyone's feelings. For the unversed, Mandhana rose up and guided India back to 176 in the first innings. A while back, Smriti took to Instagram to say that sports does not care about how one feels. Smriti, in the quote shared by her, spoke about the harsh truth and shared:

"Sport doesn’t care about your feelings. It’s a harsh truth. But it doesn’t. It doesn’t care if you’re tired. If you’ve just won. If you’re the best player. If you’re the newest player. If you’re the most confident, most nervous, the hardest working. None of it. It only cares about one thing. How you play the game. How you show up. The intentions you have to be the best you can be on that day. And if, and only if, you give it your all, you give it your full attention and respect, you might be able to come away with a chance of success."

When Smriti Mandhana revealed that cricket always lifted her mood

Smriti further revealed that if one gets the chance to play a sport, do it again. The feeling of winning is one hell of a kind. For the unversed, Smriti Mandhana and her ex-fiance, Palaash Muchhal, were to get married in November 2025. The ex-couple called off their wedding after Smriti's dad had a sudden medical emergency, and reports of Palaash reportedly cheating on her had surfaced. When Smriti once made a public appearance after calling off her wedding with Palaash, she had said that cricket always lifted her mood. In her words:

"I am a simple person, and I don’t overthink. If you work hard behind the scenes, you are satisfied. People will always judge based on what you do on the ground, but I judge myself based on the amount of work we do behind the scenes. It feels good to prepare day in and day out. Even if I am feeling good or bad, when I go out to bat, I feel confident."

Smriti further, in the interview with Crictoday.com, shared that she loves cricket the most and that whenever she wears the Indian jersey, her motivation is at its peak. Smriti reveals that one has to set aside all problems and thoughts to focus on life. She was always crazy for batting, but no one had understood. Smriti always wanted to be known as a world champion. Smriti had earlier taken to her social media handle to announce that her wedding with Palaash was cancelled. In her words:

"Over the past few weeks, there has been plenty of speculation around my life, and I feel it is important for me to speak out at this time. I am a very private person, and I would like to keep it that way, but I need to clarify that the wedding is called off. I would like to close this matter here and implore all of you to do the same. I request you to please respect the privacy of both families at this time and allow us the space to process and move on at our own pace."
