For the unversed, 26-year-old Ketan was allegedly killed by his fiancée, Siya Goyal and her boyfriend, Chetan Chaudhary. Ketan and Siya were engaged and supposed to get married in a lavish ceremony in Udaipur. However, fate had other plans. Amid the ongoing probe in the case, it is claimed that Ketan’s phone was possibly tampered with.
Was Ketan Agarwal’s phone tampered with by Siya Goyal after his death?
As the investigation into Ketan’s murder intensified, police realised that after Ketan’s murder, his phone was with Siya for some time, and she handed it over to his family after some time. However, it remains unclear whether she tampered with any crucial evidence from it. As per an official:
“She later handed over the phone to his family. We are investigating whether any crucial evidence was deleted or tampered with while the phone was in her possession.”
Siya and Ketan got engaged in February 2026 and were set to be married in November this year. However, the 26-year-old Ketan was allegedly pushed to his death from a cliff at Lohagad Fort in Pune by Siya and her lover, Chetan Chaudhary. Both Siya and Chetan will be under police custody until July 3 as the investigation continues.
Ketan Agarwal had doubts about Siya and Chetan’s affair
According to the police officials, Ketan’s father, in his complaint, stated that Ketan had doubts about Siya and Chetan’s relationship and repeatedly voiced his concern about their closeness. Ketan’s father stated that Siya often mentioned Chetan’s name in her conversations and Ketan felt something brewing between her and Chetan. However, his family assured him that there was nothing to worry about as Siya's family members were close friends.
Not just this, before their wedding, Ketan and Siya’s family had planned a trip to Bali, but had to cancel it when Ketan realised his passport was missing upon arriving at Mumbai airport. As per Ketan’s father’s complaint, it was Siya who stole Ketan’s passport to sabotage their trip. Ketan’s father claimed that Siya had gone back to the car when they had stopped at a food mall and stole his passport.

Ketan Agarwal’s case became even more disturbing when investigators claimed there had been previous attempts on Ketan's life. According to police, an earlier incident occurred on June 14, 2026, at the same fort, when Siya allegedly pushed Ketan toward the edge. He reportedly managed to save himself by grabbing onto nearby vegetation. Investigators allege she then created a distraction by claiming she had spotted a snake.
After the shocking murder of Ketan Agarwal, the motive behind the murder shocked everyone. As per reports, Siya, who initially agreed to marry Ketan Agarwal, later regretted her decision when she found out he was bald and wore a wig. Siya wasn’t happy about her future life partner wearing a wig and stuttering.
On the other hand, Ketan’s father stated that both Siya and her family were aware of Ketan's baldness before they got engaged in February 2026. When Siya was asked why she didn’t call off the wedding instead, she responded that it would have harmed her family's honour.
