From Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma to Gaurav Chopra and Hitisha Cheranda, nowadays the latest trend started by the celebrities is of the secret wedding. Another couple who recently joined this category is none other than the Drishyam actress, Shriya Saran and her long-time Russian boyfriend, Andrei Koscheev. On March 17, 2018, Mumbai Mirror reports suggested that Shriya Saran had an intimate wedding affair with Andrei. But when asked Shriya about the same, she was quoted as saying, “I don’t want to comment on it!” And now, finally, the wedding is an open secret and her pictures and videos are surfaced online.
Shriya looks resplendent in a red lehenga and heavy jewellery, and the groom, Andrei looked dapper in a blue coloured suit. For the haldi function, Shriya opted for a white crop top and yellow skirt with a yellow dupatta. She paired her look with the floral jewellery. Shriya and Andrei surely had the best of their time and they looked ten on ten in their pre-wedding and wedding avatars. The pre-wedding functions started from March 18, 2018, with haldi ceremony, Holi party, sangeet and it was followed by ring ceremony, wedding and reception dinner on March 19, 2018. Shriya prefers to keep her personal life out of the media glare and paparazzi attention. Her affair with her boyfriend was also kept a secret as she was never spotted with him in public places and she doesn’t put up pictures with him on her social media. According to reports, Shabana Azmi and Manoj Bajpayee were the only invitees from the Bollywood film fraternity at Shriya and Andrei’s wedding. In one of the videos that surfaced online, the romantic groom Andrei recited a few lines for his lady-love and that too in Hindi. Andrei said, “Koi pyaar kare toh tumse kare, tum jaise ho waise kare, koi tumko badal ke pyaar kare, toh woh pyaar nahi sauda kare, aur sahiba, pyaar mein sauda nahi hota”, and he also translated it in English. Shriya was so spellbound that she kissed Andrei. Check out the video here:
A few days back, when Shriya’s wedding rumours started doing the rounds, her mother refuted them all by saying, “No, it’s all rumours that keep resurfacing. She has to attend her friend’s wedding in Rajasthan and had ordered clothes and jewellery for it. In fact, she has to attend both, a relative’s and a friend’s wedding this month and in March. That’s probably why this has gone viral.” According to the reports, only close friends and family attended the function and even her Tollywood friends were not aware of her secret wedding.
For the uninitiated ones, Andrei was born in St Petersburg, Russia and is currently staying with his mother and brother. He is a national level tennis player and an entrepreneur who owns a restaurant chain in Moscow, Russia.
