Shreyas Iyer's Sister, Shresta Shares Breaking Up With BF Post She Got Drunk, Says, 'Toxic Nai Thei'

Indian cricketer, Shreyas Iyer is famous for his on-field performances and various link-up rumours. However, his sister, Shresta, has a different story to tell altogether. She had taken social media by storm when she revealed a bold same-night breakup story at the live comedy show of Pranit More. Her video had instantly gone viral on the social media and became one of the big talking points.

As seen in the viral video where Pranit More was doing his standup show, he had asked Shreyas Iyer's sister, Shresta, "Kya tu daaru peeti hai"? She said no and that she had just quit alcohol. She revealed that she used to drink, but she quit recently. Pranit then asked if she did something after being drunk, and Shresta said that no, there was something else.

"Isse bhi bada kaand. Humne dono ne ek saath breakup kia. Like decide karke. Same night we decided to breakup with different guys. Toxic nai thei but we just decided to break up.  They were not the right ones."

Shresta did confess that she broke up with her boyfriend, not on the call but in person, after drinking. A user listening and seeing the video commented, "Used to drink, but abhi break-up kiya h toh…thoda Drinking quit, Yoga-syoga, special Meditation, thoda life lessons." Another one shared, "Suddenly every cricketer now has a grown-up sister. This trickery needs to be stopped. Both brother and sister are idiots. Shreyas Iyer ye kya cringepana h tumhari sister me." A user commented on Sreshta's attitude and said:

"Shreyas Iyer ye kya cringepana h tumhari sister me. Kha Shreya’s Iyer aur kha iski behen. Abh jake Shreyas peak krne laga or ye uski image kharab kar rahi hai. Feeling bad for him. Yeh kaun hai jab bhi dekho kisi na kisi ka interview. Why do these people laugh at every damn thing like total idiots, there's not even anything funny to laugh about, they bare their teeth at every single thing. Iyer ki ijjat khrab kr rhi. Yeh toh pagal hai."

Shresta is the sister of India's ace cricketer, Shreyas. She had made a mark in the entertainment industry with an item song called Agreement Karle. Well, in a candid chat with The Times of India, Shresta revealed how she was approached by reality show makers, Roadies and Splitsvilla. Shresta revealed that she was offered a chance to take part in Roadies and Splitsvilla, and also mentioned how her brother helps her make a call on what she should work on. In her words:

"A friend working on the project asked me to participate, but I declined. It's not really my cup of tea. Shreyas has always been supportive of my endeavours. We discuss my projects beforehand, and he advises me to trust my instincts and set my own boundaries." 

Well, a few days back, Shresta had to remove a controversial Instagram clip where she had become the target of a lot of online hate. She claimed to have been bullied on social media due to the video she shared. The drama began after the Kolkata Knight Riders vs Punjab Kings match on April 6, 2026, was abandoned due to rain. She had revealed getting threats on social media, due to which she had to delete the clip. She had to justify on social media that she took down the clip as it was misunderstood. Shresta had slammed the KKR team in Punjab and had said:

"Saade Punjabiyan da dil vadda hunda hai, lo de ditta ek point."
