Pakistani cricketer, Shoaib Malik, who was earlier married to Sania Mirza, has received much hate for his third marriage with Pakistani actress, Sana Javed. It was in January 2024 when Shoaib left India and Pakistan shocked by announcing his marriage with Sana, without ever talking about his divorce from ace tennis player Sania Mirza. It was later, Sania's father, Imran, who confirmed that his daughter had taken Khula (the Islamic term for divorce when a wife initiates it).
On March 25, 2024, Shoaib took to his Instagram handle and posted a couple of pictures with Sana. In the photo, Sana looked pretty in a floral kurta and jeans. Subtle makeup and soft pink lips completed her look. Shoaib wore a black T-shirt. Sana was hugging Shoaib in the picture as they posed for the camera. We can also see a flower bouquet kept on the table. Along with it, Shoaib wrote:
"Happy Birthday Sana Shoaib Malik."

As soon as the photos were shared, netizens flooded the comments section with hateful comments. One user called their love fake, another called it a 'dikhawa'. One of the netizens also commented, "He should honestly be ashamed of Himself." Another commented, "Don’t know why these poses look fake just for pictures."
On February 18, 2024, Sana Javed received a lot of criticism during a match of PSL 2023. She was spotted cheering for her husband, Shoaib. After the match was over, Sana was seen leaving the ground, but a few people in the crowd started chanting Sania Mirza's name and teased her. While Sana gave a death stare to the crowd, the hooting didn't stop.
Sania and her family didn't talk about her divorce for long. However, after Shoaib announced his wedding to Sana Javed, the Mirza family spoke about the ex-couple's separation for the first time. On January 21, 2024, Sania's sister, Anam Mirza, took to her Instagram handle and shared a picture note on her behalf. She conveyed how Sania kept her personal life away from the media glares. She added that she separated from Shoaib a few months ago, and Sania wishes him well on his journey. Anam also said that it is a sensitive period of her life and requested privacy from fans.
Earlier, Sania's father, Imran Mirza, spoke to the PTI about the same. He shared that his daughter has taken a khula from him. In Islam, Khula is a legal term that refers to a form of divorce which is initiated by the wife, wherein she seeks a separation from her husband. Unlike talak, which a husband takes, Khula allows the woman to divorce her husband, giving them equal rights.
