The rapid spread of COVID-19 virus had locked everyone’s life forcing them to stay in the four walls of their homes. The overnight lockdown came as a shock to many as people were forced to stay wherever they were. Now, when the lockdown has been lifted, people are travelling and meeting their loved ones. In between all this, Sania Mirza and Shoaib Malik’s son, Izhaan Mirza Malik had to stay away from his father as he was in Dubai and they were in Hyderabad when the lockdown was announced. On October 30, 2018, Sania Mirza and her cricketer husband, Shoaib Malik had become proud parents to a little munchkin. The star couple had decided to add both their surnames to their son's name and had lovingly named him Izhaan Mirza Malik. Sania and Shoaib’s cute little cotton ball is a delight to watch and has always made us awestruck with his cuteness. Sania, who had taken a break from the field to bring her little wonder into this world, often updates her fans with cutesy pictures of her tiny tot.
Izhaan Mirza Malik had recently travelled to Dubai to meet his baba, Shoaib Malik, along with his mommy, Sania Mirza, khaala, Anam Mirza and khalu, Mohammad Asaduddin. On September 9, 2020, Shoaib couldn’t hold his excitement after meeting Izhaan and took to his IG handle to share a glimpse of the father-son moments. In the video, Izhaan looked happy as he played with his baba and Shoaib on the other hand was delighted to hold his baby boy in his arms. Along with the video, Shoaib thanked Izhaan for bestowing him with the title of ‘baba’ and wrote, “Of all the titles, I’ve been blessed with over the years, ‘Baba’ has always been my favorite and its all thanks to this little guy! Love you, Izhaan!”
Sania had taken to her IG stories and had shared a picture which was also posted on Izhaan’s official IG handle. In the picture, Izhaan was seen holding his parent’s, Sania and Shoaib’s hands with the scenic background of Dubai. The family was overjoyed to be reunited after months and the adorable picture had melted our hearts. Few days back, Sania had shared a cutesy video of her son, Izhaan Mirza Malik, where mommy, Sania could be seen asking Izhaan, “Where have we come?” To which, Izhaan had replied, “Dubai”. When asked, “Who are we gonna meet tomorrow?”, Izhaan, who was excitedly roaming in the room had said, “Baba” when probed by his mother. In the video, Izhaan was looking like a cutie patootie as he was roaming around in his vest.
The first time, Shoaib Malik and his star wife, Sania Mirza had announced the news of their pregnancy in their own unique way, we all were curious about the baby’s surname, which comprised of both of the parent’s surname, ‘Mirza Malik’. Speaking about the same in a 2018 interview with Gulf News, the star cricketer was quoted as saying, “We discussed this in the beginning and we both came up with it together. It’s not a move, but a statement. My family history and my family name comes with a lot of honour, which I celebrate with pride. It should be the same for Sania. Being a husband or a wife or a mother or a father should not change that for either.
