One of the famous celeb couples, Shoaib Malik and Sania Mirza are on cloud nine these days for they have entered the new blissful phase of their lives. Shoaib and Sania walked down the aisle on April 12, 2010. After enjoying their marital bliss for more than eight years, Sania and Shoaib welcomed their first baby together, a boy on October 30, 2018. The doting and loving newbie parents named their little one, Izhaan Mirza Malik, which in Arabic means genius.
Announcing the arrival of Baby Mirza Malik, Shoaib tweeted, “Excited to announce: Its a boy, and my girl is doing great and keeping strong as usual #Alhumdulilah. Thank you for the wishes and Duas, we are humbled #BabyMirzaMalik”. In fact, it was the elated papa only who revealed the name of the baby as well. He tweeted, “Thank you from the bottom of our heart to everyone for the wishes from Sania and I, and our families. Our son’s name is Izhaan #BabyMirzaMalik”. The latest news is that Shoaib is the captain of Punjabi Legends of T10League, which is starting soon from November 21, 2018, till December 2, 2018. Just because of the fact that Shoaib has welcomed his little munchkin, Izhaan, he shares on social media that he will not be a part of the league this time. With mixed emotions, Shoaib chose his family, wife Sania and newborn son, Izhaan over this match. Though he mentioned in the tweet that Sania wanted him to play. But we completely respect Shoaib’s choice!
Shoaib took to his official Twitter account and tweeted, “I announce with mixed feelings that I will be not be part of @PunjabiLegends_ #T10League to spend time with my family. This was a tough decision (sp since my wife thinks I should play) but I want to be with my wife and son more than anything else. Hope you all will understand”. Sania’s best friend and filmmaker, Farah Khan recently visited the baby and took to Instagram to share how gorgeous he looks. Farah Khan wrote, “We Always hav each other’s back! Lov u @mirzasaniar the baby is gorgeous n this visit was too short.. will make up 4 it next trip.. bless ul.” Earlier, when the news of baby’s arrival went on air, the elated bestie wrote, “My dearest n best friend becomes a mum!! @mirzasaniar I couldn’t b happier lov uuuuu n arriving soon to meet the lil prince."
Talking about the gender of the baby earlier, Sania was quoted as saying, “And obviously if it is only my child, I would hope, pray and wish for it to be a healthy child. It doesn't matter if it is a boy or a girl, which seems to be very important for a lot of people. Besides that, to believe in yourself and always know that you have the freedom to be whoever you are. Announcing Sania’s pregnancy, Shoaib and Sania released a joint statement that could be read as, “We are soon to become parents. Having thought about it for a while, we both felt right now is the correct time to start a family. When we found out, we were ecstatic and couldn’t wait to give out this news to our fans and well-wishers. We are very excited to enter this new phase of our lives and look forward to our journey as parents.”
