When we had first watched the trailer of Sasural Simar Ka in the year 2011, we didn't realised that the protagonists of the story will turn into our most-loved jodi. Yes, we are talking about the story of Shoaib Ibrahim and Dipika Kakar. They made headlines when they said 'qubool hai' and raised quite a few eyebrows when Dipika chose Islam as her religion after their wedding. But, as we say, all is fair in love and war, and it was love that could fight the entire world. Dipika and Shoaib have been giving us couple goals ever since they tied the knot in a traditional Muslim ceremony on February 22, 2018, in Bhopal. And their Instagram feed is filled with cute PDAs to Dipika making kulfis, they are a perfect example of a happily married couple. After all, in the end, that's what every heart desires.
Today, on July 5, 2019, Shoaib took to his Instagram handle and shared an adorable picture with his muse, Dipika. Along with it, he wrote, "I ask Allah for you twice, once in this world and once in Jannah." In the picture, we can see Shoaib and Dipika looking their traditional best. Checkout the picture below:
For those who don't know, Dipika was earlier in an unhappy marriage with Raunak Mehta. It was in the year 2015 when they parted ways on a bitter note. Some even said that their marriage broke because of Dipika's closeness with Shoaib. However, she kept denying it, and in an interview, she had shared, "It's not mandatory that every love marriage should work; it can have its issues like compatibility too. Breaking off any relationship is difficult, almost traumatic. That's exactly what happened with me. My parents supported me and Shoaib helped me pull through those difficult times. We were not dating then." (Also Read: Sushmita Sen And Beau Rohman Shawl Relive Childhood With Her Daughters Renee And Alisah In Ball Pool)
In another interview, Dipika had shared how she started dating Shoaib, and had revealed, "After he left, I distanced myself from everyone on the set for almost two years. I got anxiety attacks once when I couldn't reach him when he was on a 40-day outdoor schedule of his project."
She had further shared, "I wanted to be sure that this relationship wasn't on the rebound. Also, we were getting to know each other better. No matter how progressive we become, being a divorcee has some kind of a social stigma attached to it in our society. I had that stamp on me. But he gave me that space and despite being aware of my past, never complained about it. He has in fact always respected that. Coming from a small town, even his parents never let me feel that."
In an interview, Shoaib had also talked about Dipika saying she has always been there for him during his tough times. He had shared, "My father suffered a brain hemorrhage. Being the only son, I had to be there for my mother and sister while my father was recuperating. Dipika supported us emotionally."
