Shoaib Ibrahim made his television debut in 2009 with the show, Rehna Hai Teri Palkon Ki Chhaon Mein. It was the character of ‘Prem’ in the serial, Sasural Simar Ka, which got him a wider recognition. The show changed not only Shoaib’s professional life but his personal life too as he met the love of his life Dipika Kakar during the show.
During the course of 7 years (from 2011 to 2018), the show saw many twists, however, it was Shoaib, who realised that there was nothing exciting for him. The handsome actor left the show during the peak of his career and did not get any work for three years. Shoaib worked on his chubby self but not getting exciting projects was a concern for him.

In a conversation with The Times of India, Shoaib revealed how Dipika supported him financially. Elaborating on the same, Shoaib stated that he has never shied away from accepting it and said:
“I had made a few savings and I managed my expenses for sometime. Post that Dipika supported me a lot and I never shy away from admitting it. I proudly accept it. That’s the reason I never think twice about doing anything for her because she supported me at a time when I had nothing. My father also had few savings which we used and our entire family is very grateful to Dipika that she showered so much love and supported us in every way possible.”
During the making of the show, Sasural Simar Ka, Dipika Kakar found her real-life sasural in the Ibrahim family when she had fallen in love with Shoaib. Dipika added Ibrahim to her name in 2018 after her nikaah with Shoaib, and since then, the lovebirds have been delighting their fans with lovely family moments.

Every now and then, we have seen Dipika and Shoaib reminiscing beautiful moments from the show. On March 14, 2021, Shoaib shared a romantic picture with Dipika, in which he was seen gifting her a rose. Along with the picture, Shoaib revealed why the day was special for him and wrote:
"Aaj inse pehli mulaqaat hui thi, Phir aamne saamne baat hui thi. This was the day when @ms.dipika and I met for the very first time for the audition for #SasuralSimarKa in 2011."
On the personal front, Shoaib and Dipika are all set to welcome their first child soon.
