The former Pakistani cricketer, Shoaib Akhtar, is regarded as one of the fastest bowlers in the history of cricket. He is nicknamed 'Rawalpindi Express' for the same, and he retired from international cricket after the 2011 World Cup. After bidding adieu to the turf, Shoaib Akhtar gained popularity via his other endeavours.
For the unversed, he has written a book, Controversially Yours, hosted several game shows and also owns a YouTube channel with around 3.62 million subscribers, where he shares his opinions, interacts with fans, and talks about sports.

In February 2023, the 48-year-old former cricketer even launched his own talk show, The Shoaib Akhtar Show, on the OTT platform Urduflix. This exciting show brings together Pakistani cricketers, talented actors and actresses in an interesting mix of sports and showbiz. The second season of the show, The Shoaib Akhtar Show 2.0, premiered on October 7, 2023. And its third episode, featuring popular Pakistani actress, Sonya Hussyn and television show host and anchor, Waseem Badami, is getting significant attention from the public.
Shoaib Akhtar questioned his guests, Waseem and Sonya, about which Pakistani scientist was the recipient of the prestigious Nobel Prize, and gave the following options: Abdul Sattar Edhi, Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan and Malala Yousafzai. To which Sonya promptly answers, ‘Malala Yousafzai’. Her reply led to the other two, Shoaib and Waseem, subtly making fun of her. Shoaib Akhtar jokingly said:
“Zabardast, well done, well done, bohot acha Sonya, Kya Jawab diya aapne.”
Then the host, Shoaib Akhtar, asked his other guest, Waseem, the same question, to which he replied, ‘A Q Khan’. The 48-year-old former cricketer starts making fun of the actress by comparing her to Nida Yasir, who previously had appeared on Shoaib’s show and had answered a question incorrectly.

While the two, Shoaib and Waseem, were busy making fun of Sonya, netizens have now pointed out the correct answer. The correct answer is Dr Mohammad Abdus Salam, who received the prestigious award in 1979 in Physics alongside Sheldon Glashow and Steven Weinberg for their contribution to the electroweak unification theory.
A clip shared from the same episode on the official Instagram page of UrduFlix has garnered around 114k views, and the netizens are slamming Waseem and Shoaib for making fun of Sonya Hussyn when the two are wrong themselves. Check out some of the comments:
