While speaking to wildcard contestant Shilpa Shinde, Shreya alleged that Ram was getting too close during a task.
Soon after the clip showing Ram sharing a kiss with Shreya went viral on the internet, he faced immense scrutiny and was also called 'tharki'. Now, Shilpa has taken a fresh jibe at Ram.

In a recent episode of Lock Upp 2, Shilpa Shinde, popularly known for her role as 'Angoori Manmohan Tiwari' in the TV series, Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hai!, took a fresh dig at Ram Kapoor days after his controversial kiss to fellow contestant, Shreya Kalra. Taking a jibe at Ram, Shilpa said to Shreya:
"Are aj satsang nahi laga? Baba Ram Kapoor ji ka satsang nahi laga aj? Dekhte hai aj ke baad is jagah pe satsang nahi lagega, Baba Ram Kapoor ji ka. Toh yeh jagah khali ho gayi hai."
Soon after the video showing Shilpa surfaced on social media, netizens flooded the comment section. A user wrote, "Shilpa Shreya is so funny." Another user commented, "Too good." A third user penned, "Shilpa ji yaar." A fourth user wrote, "Shilpa is too good." However, it seems like Ram Kapoor’s wife, Gautami, is in no mood to respond.
Instead, she chose to support her husband. Taking to her Instagram Stories, Gautami shared a video of Ram from Lock Upp 2 and wrote, "Those who know you know you! @iamramkapoor be strong." However, it is worth mentioning that this was not the first time Gautami stood beside her husband, Ram. A few days back, she dropped a video on her Instagram handle and addressed the controversy involving Ram and Shreya. In the video, Gautami was heard saying:
"I actually had decided not to speak regarding the show, Lock Upp 2, but I think the last two to three days are kind of preventing me from staying silent. So I am speaking today on behalf of my husband. A lot of people are passing judgments, making comments, saying that he is a tharki, he is an old man. So let me tell you guys, this is the way Ram is. I am not defending him, but he’s a man full of heart, and he entered the game show or reality show without any strategy or plan at all. If he acted inappropriately, then I'm certain the inmates would have confronted him during the early days of the show."
Gautami captioned the post as, "So easy to make assumptions without actually knowing the real person! @iamramkapoor always so compassionate and loving, be it woman or man! Countless people he has helped, and we have all their blessings; hence, this too shall pass! I stand by him today and always. Play the game with mind and a bit of heart." She also spoke about why Shreya made a scene out of the whole incident. In her words:
"Why is it that there’s suddenly an uproar now and people are discussing it? I’m curious, what’s the cause? The sole reason I can think of is that he didn't back Shreya as the gang leader, which perhaps he ought to have since she executed the tasks excellently for him and consistently supported him. Perhaps he ought to have, but that's a personal choice. Therefore, I prefer not to remark on that. Furthermore, she mentioned that we view the program comfortably from our homes, while the inmates have been confined for the past 4-5 weeks without any outside interaction."
