Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra are one of the much-loved couples in Bollywood. The duo got married in 2009, and since then, they have been painting the town red with their mushy camaraderie. The duo has two adorable kids, Viaan Raj Kundra and Samisha Shetty Kundra. It was in the year 2021 when Shilpa's whole world turned upside down as Raj was taken under jail custody for his alleged involvement in an adult film racket case. The businessman was released on bail in the same year. Cut to now, Raj is living the best phase of life, and it was in 2023 when he made his debut in Bollywood with the movie, UT 69. However, the way Shilpa stood beside Raj like a strong pillar speaks volumes about the kind of doting wife she is.
In a recent interview with Zoom, Shilpa Shetty Kundra talked about marrying Raj Kundra and hit back at the trolls who said she married the businessman for money. The Sukhee actress stated that when she got married to Raj, as per Google, he was the 108th richest or youngest British Indian. The actress mentioned that as people were saying that she got married to Raj for his money, they surely forgot to focus on the fact that she was already well-established and rich. Shilpa can be quoted as saying:
"When I married Raj, he was supposed to be the 108th youngest or richest British Indian, apparently, according to Google, which is great. But I think people also forgot to Google Shilpa Shetty, who was also very rich back then. I'm richer today, and I pay all my income tax bills, GST, and everything.”

In the same interview, Shilpa Shetty added that money has never been a deciding factor in her choice of partner. The actress also stated that many richer people were wooing her when she was deciding to get married. Shilpa remarked:
"And, by the way, there were richer people than him who were wooing me at the time. But money has never really been the deciding factor in my life for anything.”
For the unversed, Shilpa Shetty made her comeback to showbiz with the movie, Sukhee. However, first, the diva said 'no' to the film because of some specific reasons. During the trailer launch event of the movie, Shilpa added that after getting the offer, she told Raj about the same and stated that she wouldn't do the film. She shared how one day, when she was out, Raj read the script and remained in awe. Shilpa added that when she came back home, Raj not only just convinced her but also forced her to do Sukhee while making her understand why she should do the film.

For the unversed, Raj Kundra's UT69 features the storyline of his 63-day jail stay. However, during the film's launch, Raj revealed how Shilpa reacted to the same. He stated that Shilpa was initially unsure and apprehensive about him doing the film. Raj hilariously added that when he let Shilpa know about his decision to do the movie a flying chappal came to him. However, Raj remarked that after hearing the script, Shilpa supported him throughout.
