In her personal life, Shilpa is married to Raj Kundra, and they are parents to their adorable kids, Viaan and Samisha. In her professional life, Shilpa recently made her OTT debut with Rohit Shetty’s Indian Police Force. In a recent interview, the actress opened up about the same and revealed her preferences in choosing projects.

Shilpa Shetty reveals she wants to do such films that her kids will be able to watch

In a recent interview with the Hindustan Times, Shilpa Shetty Kundra shared that the OTT medium is lenient and allows actors to go by, but as for her preferences, she will always choose such content that her kids will be able to watch. The actress shared that she has always been family-oriented. Shilpa added that she is one of such artists who have been very particular about kissing scenes, and she has been clear about which content she can work on and which she cannot. Shilpa can be quoted as saying:

"OTT also allows a lot to just go by because it is a platform that is very lenient. However, my preference in my professional career is that I still want my kids to be able to watch the content that I am making. I always do stuff that is family-oriented. I am one of those few artists who is very particular even about kissing on screen, and I have never done that. I am a little clear about what I can do, what I can’t do and what I am comfortable with.”

Shilpa Shetty talks about taking a sabbatical and resuming work with Sukhee

Shilpa Shetty made her comeback with the film, Sukhee back in 2023, for which she received a lot of appreciation. Although, the film was unable to garner a lot of positive attention, it had its separate fanbase on OTT. However, talking about the same in the same interview, Shilpa added that she had faced different phases in her life, and she was not clear about what she actually wanted to do. 

The actress added that she did some glamorous films but when she understood the art and craft, she decided to get married and take a sabbatical even before discovering her inner self. The actress added that she has now changed for the better, which actually made her change as an actress too. Sharing how it felt good to get an appreciation for her role in Sukhee, Shilpa added:

"When I was kind of understanding the whole art and the craft, I decided to get married and go on a sabbatical, even before I could explore my inner talent to the fullest. Now, I feel like I am rediscovering myself and I am a changed person for the better. I feel when you change as a person, you also change as an actor, so that’s why the whole revelation and introduction to a new Shilpa in Sukhee. People were like, ‘wow she can do stuff like this,’ so that is a huge compliment that even after 30 years, I am able to surprise people."

When Shilpa Shetty revealed that Raj Kundra forced her to do Sukhee

Earlier, during the launch of her movie, Sukhee, Shilpa Shetty remarked that when the movie was first offered to her, she said 'no' to it for some specific reason. However, after eight months, she agreed to do the film, and it was none other than her hubby, Raj, who convinced her to do it. The actress shared that Raj convinced her to do the film and portray her role so well that each and every audience could feel there's a 'Sukhee' inside all.

Raj Kundra made his acting debut with UT 69

For those who don't know, in 2023, Raj Kundra also made his debut in showbiz with his movie, UT 69, which showcased his jail stay experience. However, in several interviews, Raj shared how it was Shilpa who stood as a rock beside Raj during the hard times, and it speaks volumes about how much of a doting wife the diva is.
