Shilpa Shetty Kundra's family is under headlines as her husband, Raj Kundra, has been arrested by the Crime Branch on July 19, 2021. The 45-year-old businessman has been arrested in a case related to creating pornographic films and publishing them through some apps. According to reports, he is the key conspirator in the whole case.
In his statement, the Mumbai police commissioner, Hemant Nagrale, had stated that there was a case registered with Crime Branch Mumbai in February 2021 about the creation of pornographic films and publishing them through some apps.
Now, just a few minutes ago, the paparazzi spotted Raj Kundra, who was being produced before the Esplanade court. The star-husband was seen wearing a white-coloured t-shirt and covered his face with a black mask. He was sitting with another accused, Ryan Tharp. After the hearing, the court remanded them to police custody till July 23, 2021.
After the whole incident, explosive chats of Raj Kundra has been making rounds in the media. The WhatsApp chats of Raj Kundra with Pradeep Bakshi revealed how the transaction of money was earned through pornographic content.
The Mumbai Police commissioner had further opened up on the case and the businessman's involvement and arrest. He had said, "We’ve arrested Mr Raj Kundra in this case on 19/7/21 as he appears to be the key conspirator of this. We have sufficient evidence regarding this. The investigation is in progress."
For the uninitiated, Raj had applied for anticipatory bail in June 2021 with a case registered by the cyber police of Maharashtra. However, the court hasn't yet taken any action regarding the anticipatory bail.
Raj Kundra is under police remand till July 23, 2021!
