We just cannot believe Diwali 2020 is over but thank god, the madness hasn't died yet. While we haven't still gotten over the Diwali hangover, our social media is buzzing with celebrity Diwali pictures and oh boy, it is giving us serious festival blues (we know you all can relate to it). However, this year, the Diwali fun wasn't the same due to the Coronavirus. The big Diwali card parties had turned into small get-togethers, and people celebrated the big day at their home. But for Bollywood actress, Shilpa Shetty Kundra Diwali 2020 was extra special as it was her little angel, Samisha Shetty Kundra's first Diwali. For those who don't know, Shilpa Shetty Kundra and her hubby, Raj Kundra had given a sweet surprise to their fans when they had announced the arrival of their second child via surrogacy. Yes, Shilpa had shared a glimpse of her daughter's little hand on her Instagram handle. Along with it, she had written a cute post and revealed the meaning of her baby's name. She had revealed that ''Sa'' in Sanskrit is "to have", and ''Misha'' in Russian stands for "someone like God". Hence, her little girl, Samisha's name personifies goddess Laxmi.
On November 15, 2020, Shilpa took to her Instagram handle and posted a lovely video of performing her first Diwali puja with her little angel, Samisha. In the video, we can see the family of four twinning in pink ensembles and looking super cute. Alongside it, Shilpa wrote, "I believe the family that prays together, stays together and as is our family’s annual ritual, we offered our prayers to Lakshmi Maa and Samisha whose first Diwali it was. Sending prayers not just for us but for you too. May Maa Lakshmi shower Her blessings on each one of you. Wishing you all a very Happy Diwali! @RajKundra9." Check it out below:
Recently, Shilpa Shetty Kundra was invited on Neha Dhupia's show, No Filter Neha, wherein she had opened up on embracing motherhood for the second time. The actress had shared that it is a cake-walk for her this time around. Shilpa had also cheered for herself and had talked about her gutsy decision of taking the decision at the age of 45. She had said, "I think yoga has made a big difference to what I used to be 10 years ago. I remember I did have a few meltdowns after Viaan because when you’re this first-time mom, it’s very daunting and it just hits you. So it was difficult the first time around but now I feel it’s like a cakewalk. #Guts to me, I am 45 and I’ve had another child. I’ll be 50 and my child is 5." Talking about people's reaction when Shilpa had shared her baby arrival announcement, the actress had said that she doesn't pay much attention to them. Shilpa had further added, "I don’t care to pay too much attention for other people’s opinions and judgments on me because it’s really not their place. I am doing my best as a mother. However people perceive me to be, I really want to bring my child up the way my parents brought us up. The only difference is obviously we were brought up in a smaller home with a lot lesser in terms of facilities but the same amount of love, if not more." Shilpa had also shared that whatever she has been able to achieve in professional and personal life is all because of her hubby, Raj Kundra, who has been a pillar of support for him.
Shilpa had shared a beautiful note on the occasion of her daughter, Samisha's first Raksha Bandhan. She had posted a dreamy picture and had written, "Today and this moment is sooo special for us all, as Viaan-Raj and Samisha celebrate their first Rakhshabandhan They say, 'our siblings are our first best friends', right here is the beginning of a 'forever' kinda friendship Viaan-Raj has always wanted and prayed for a lil sister - and his dream and ours has come true, making today extra special. I'm glad that they will always have each other to fall back on... someone to love unconditionally, talk to , crib about, yet be fiercely protective Tell your sibling today, how much you love them; and if they're around you, don't forget to give them a tight hug! Happy Raksha Bandhan to my Instagram #HappyRakshaBandhan." (Don't Miss: Karanvir Bohra And Teejay Sidhu Plan The Delivery Of Their Third Child In Canada Because Of This)
