The year 2020 has been the most challenging one and we have managed to sail through it. While it will always be considered one of the darkest years in the history, there are many lessons it has taught us. From dealing with uncertain situations to value the people in our lives, 2020 has been a learning experience for all of us. For many, 2020 was the year of new beginnings as some had gotten married and some had embraced parenthood. And for actress, Shikha Singh, 2020 will always be special as she had embraced motherhood and had welcomed a baby girl into her life. Famous for her roles in shows like Uttaran, Na Aana Is Des Laado, Phulwa, Sasural Simar Ka and Kumkum Bhagyai, Shikha had gotten married to her boyfriend, Karan Shah in 2016. And after four years of marital bliss, the couple had embraced parenthood on June 16, 2020 and had become parents to a baby doll, whom they have named Alayna Singh Shah.
Shikha is quite active on social media and loves sharing glimpses of her life with her little angel. On January 3, 2021, Shikha took to her IG handle and shared a glimpse of Alayna playing with her daddy, Karan. Along with the video, Shikha revealed what 2020 had taught her and also shared that the year had given them the biggest blessing. Shikha’s note can be read as “And just like that, 2020 went by with this little bundle of joy added in our lives & adding so much love laughter & joy that it can’t be explained in words. Thank you 2020 for everything u have taught us & gave us. We would like to remember u as the year of life (where people were taught once again to value their lives) & health (Jaan hai jahan hai). After giving partial glimpses of her baby girl, Shikha had treated her fans with the first-ever complete picture of Alayna on August 18, 2020. Shikha had taken to her IG handle and had shared an adorable picture of Alayna, wherein, the doting mommy, Shikha was seen admiring the little princess. Along with the picture, Shikha had written, “The way u look at me makes me wonder, what did I do to have you in my life. U are heavenly, angelic, dramatic & somewhat forever hungry. On October 6, 2020, Shikha had shared the first picture clicked with her baby doll and it was adorable. She had taken to her IG handle and had shared a picture with Alayna when she was one-day-old. Calling it one of the best days of their lives, Shikha had written, “Definitely one of the best days of our lives!! I think it’s the other way round. I look more like her in this pic. Our 1st pic together. My open eyes look like her closed eyes.
