Sherlyn Chopra is known for her bold dressing sense and sensational roles in films. On the work front, she will be next seen in the web series, Paurashpur 2, which will be released on the OTT platforms. In the web series, she will play the role of 'Queen Snehlata'. Thus, the actress has been neck-deep busy in actively promoting the show. And during one such promotional spree, she sat down for an interview with Siddharth Kannan and opened up about some of the darkest moments of her life.
In the interview with Siddharth Kannan, Sherlyn Chopra was asked about her old statement claiming, "I slept with many for money in the past". However, the actress immediately clarified that she said this in the context of her past relationship. She revealed that her past statement was blown out of proportion and taken out of context. However, the statement was related to her past relationship with a politician's son, wherein her boyfriend used to give her gifts only because he wanted to have a physical relationship with her. She stated:
“I’m sorry to disappoint you, but I no longer engage in such activities for money. When I made those statements, I was referring to a past relationship. I had a boyfriend who happened to be the son of a prominent politician. The way he treated me made me realize that what he was doing for me was solely for sexual gratification.”

Further, Sherlyn revealed how she was often asked about whether she underwent breast surgery. To this, she mentioned in affirmation and revealed that she was bored of a flat chest. In her words:
"Reporters would often ask me if I had undergone breast surgery. I have had directors asking if I’ve had surgeries on my breasts. I had no reasons to lie. I did it, because I was bored of my flat chest."
Sherlyn also revealed how directors used to ask her about cup size. Not only that, the directors also wanted to touch her breasts during the casting process. And according to Sherlyn, even when she mentioned their wives, the directors still managed to exploit her. Sherlyn added:
"Then they(directors) would say things like ‘can we touch it? What is the cup size?’ I wondered, will people go to the theatres only after finding out about an actress’s cup size? I’d say, ‘You are married; you must be knowing about a woman’s anatomy.’ The director said, ‘Yes, so?’ then he would add that he is in an open marriage and does not interact with his wife as much."

In the same interview, Sherlyn also shared going through a personal health struggle, when she faced kidney failure in 2021. Revealing how she courageously persevered, pushing herself to improve her health, the actress mentioned how she got no support from her family members. And fortunately, she recovered after three months of taking medicines. But till today, she is not in contact with her family members. Sherlyn was quoted as saying:
"I had kidney failure in 2021, and I thought the time was up for me and would die. The doctor presented two options: either dialysis or a kidney transplant. No one from my family loved me enough to reach out to me and offer a transplant. When the condition reversed, I didn’t want to waste a single day of my life. I wanted to live life to the fullest. I am no longer in touch with any of my family members. Although I have my mother, sister and her in-laws, brother and a sister-in-law, we haven't spoken in quite some time. I don't miss them."
