For the past few days, Tunisha Sharma's suicide case has been garnering a lot of limelight. Soon after her death, Tunisha’s mother, Vanita Sharma accused her co-star and ex-boyfriend, Sheezan Khan being the reason for her death. Since then, there have been many allegations levied on Sheezan Khan, and now Sheezan’s mother has finally reacted to the same.
After allegations made by Vanita Sharma on how Sheezan slapped Tunisha and how his family taught her Urdu, Sheezan’s family called a press conference to talk about the same. The conference was addressed by Sheezan’s mother, Kehekshan, his sisters, and his lawyer. During the conference, Sheezan’s mother called the allegations by Tunisha’s mother baseless and stated that there is no love jihad angle in it.

Giving a befitting reply to Tunisha’s mother on her baseless allegations, Kehekshan stated:
“Tunisha's mother Vanita disrespected us a lot but we will maintain our dignity. She claimed that Falaq took her to a dargah but she has no information about that. You give us proof! You are talking just senseless things. She also accused Sheezan of slapping Tunisha. If your child is being tortured on sets like this, will you just sit and talk on phone? Hamare bacche ko thappad maare aur hum aise baithe rahenge maa hone ke naate? She used to talk to me so she could have told me about it. She used to eat at my place, stay with me. So when this incident happened, why did she wait? Why didn't she come to my place and slap Sheezan? Was she waiting for Tunisha to take this step?.”
In the same interaction, Sheezan’s mother also shared that she too wants justice for Tunisha and asked Vanita and stated her son, Sheezan is innocent. Pointing out the torture Sheezan is dealing with, Kehekshan shared:
“One more thing, Vanita has lost her only child and her lawyer was busy taking power of attorney. You have lost a child! Your mission should only be to find out why your child took this step. The truth should come out in the world. How can a mother do this? I also want justice for her because she was like a daughter to me too. Only God knows how difficult this journey is for us. Tunisha was like a younger daughter to me. She is gone. On the other hand, my son, who is innocent, is in jail. Vanita is after him. What do you want Vanita ji? Your daughter has committed suicide, do you want my son to commit suicide too? You are torturing him.”

In the tragic turn of events, it was on December 24, 2022, when Tunisha Sharma ended her life. As per the police officials, the actress went to the washroom on the sets of her show, Ali Baba: Dastaan-e-Kabul and did not return for a long time. When the door was broken, she was found hanging. No suicide note was recovered, and the postmortem reports confirmed that the actress died due to suffocation.
On December 31, 2022, Sheezan Khan’s judicial custody got extended.
