For the unversed, Tanner passed away in June 2025, just after a month of his child, AmyLou’s birth. After his death, Shay penned how Tanner was always a supportive husband and made sure to lift her spirits. The influencer once revealed that it was her late husband, Tanner who encouraged her to get a breast augmentation.
She answered her followers’ query in one of her IG stories and revealed that she got a breast implant. Shay revealed that following the birth of her daughter, AmyLou, with late husband Tanner Martin, she noticed changes in the shape of her breasts. Shay got implants under her muscle to bring her breasts back to the size they were before breastfeeding.
Shay revealed that she has always been confident about her looks at every juncture of life. The influencer also revealed how she and her husband, Tanner liked to look good. In her words:
“One thing you should know about Tanner and I [is] that both Tanner and I — we're pretty vain people. We liked to look really good. We cared about stuff like that. I don't know if vain is the right word to be honest. We really loved stylish clothes. We liked our hair to look really good. Tanner knew someday I wanted a mommy makeover. He has always been supportive of me.”
Shay Martin found love again after husband, Tanner Martin death
It was in November 2020, when Tanner Martin was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer. Shay and Tanner amazed everyone when they started documenting details of Tanner’s cancer journey. In February 2023, Tanner was told that his cancer was no longer curable. Doctors estimated that he would have two to five years left to live at the time.
Throughout his treatment, Tanner and Shay posted updates about their lives, including their pregnancy. Shay gave birth to AmyLou in May 2025 and the following month, Tanner passed away. The late influencer, Tanner announced his own death in a pre-recorded message. Since then, Shay has documented her grief on their social media account. She also launched a podcast, Grief Witnessed, where she hosts people who have experience with losing a loved one and tries to bear witness to their pain.
Shay recently announced finding love after a year of Tanner’s death. She announced the news of her second marriage through her social media handle. Revealing that she had found someone who loves AmyLou’s as his own. Revealing how marriage was never on her mind, Shay penned:
“I remember thinking to myself, even during the five years Tanner fought cancer, ‘I’m never going to remarry. I’m going to be alone, and I’m gonna live with that.’ And eventually, I changed, and decided that there is enough love to give. You can never run out of love, and I will never graduate from grief. Love does not erase love. Tanner will always be AmyLou’s dad, and he will always be an important part of our family and our story. I will always love Tanner.”
