Shannon Elizabeth doesn't 'plan on ever dating again'
The American Pie star filed for divorce from Simon Borchert in April 2026. Their divorce was finalized about a month later, and now, she seemingly wishes to stay single for the rest of her life. During a recent appearance on Bill Maher’s Club Random podcast, the host asked her what the dating scene was like in Cape Town. To this, Shannon Elizabeth replied, “Well, I mean, I'm very newly single, and I don't plan on ever dating again, to be honest.”
Bill did not believe her words and said that she would have to begin dating at some point, but Shannon responded in a deadly serious manner, saying, “No. I do not want to date.” She explained her decision of not being interested in relationships by claiming that “there's too many con artists out there.” She also added that there were too many people she did not trust, once again reiterating that she has no interest in dating.
However, Bill Maher was still not convinced that the OnlyFans star’s lifelong self-imposed dating ban would actually stick. He explained that while he was not trying to say that he knows Shannon better than she herself did, he has previously heard many people, especially celebrities, say the same thing after going through a divorce.
He went on to give the example of Halle Berry, who had famously declared in 2009 that she would never get married again following her two divorces, but only to tie the knot with fellow actor Oliver Martinez in 2015. Bill said that time has a way of making people lonely, but Shannon did not waver from her stance and stated:
“I'm perfectly fine not being with anyone and not wanting anything.”

During a May 2026 interview, Shannon Elizabeth confessed that her divorce from Simon Borchert was a long time coming. According to her, they had been separated since September 2025 and made the decision to go forward with the divorce after careful consideration. She added that the “meaningful pieces” were already in place and only the formalities remained.
Instead of feeling heartbroken, the Scary Movie star admitted to having bright hopes for her future. She was quoted as saying:
“This is a new chapter for me, and it's one I'm genuinely excited about. I feel stronger, clearer and happier than I have in a very long time.”
Shannon proved her words to be true after joining OnlyFans and opening up about her financial success story in a separate interview. She made the shocking revelation that she earned one million dollars on the platform in just nine days. The actress claimed that this amount of overwhelming support from her fans made her feel honored and grateful. And being a newcomer to the platform, she is planning to have loads of fun and enjoy interacting with her fans. In her words:
"I crossed 1 million dollars in nine days. It was really surprising, and I was honored that my fans came out and supported me. I had no idea what to expect, and the response has been really amazing. I'm chatting with people all the time, and it's been a lot of fun."
