The much-awaited wedding of the Bollywood stars, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt had reportedly kick-started with the puja ceremony performed in remembrance of the late Rishi Kapoor, to seek his blessings. And a few moments later, the cutest couple would tie the knot on April 14, 2022. Ranbir's family, including his mother, Neetu Kapoor, his sister, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, and her daughter Samara Sahni, were spotted a few moments back, all set to go for the baraat.
On April 13, 2022, the Kapoor sisters, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Karisma Kapoor, and Riddhima Kapoor, with their bua, Rima Jain and many others, were spotted leaving for Ranbir Kapoor-Alia Bhatt's mehendi ceremony. Karisma had looked gorgeous in an orange coloured outfit heavily embroidered with floral zari works paired with a matching blouse. On the other hand, Kareena looked surreal in a white coloured heavily embroidered lehenga choli paired with her simple loose hairdo. While Ridhima was seen wearing a silver sequinned saree paired with a halter neck blouse, her mother Neetu was seen wearing a gorgeous floral lehenga.

In an interview with the Hindustan Times, Ranbir Kapoor's late father, Rishi Kapoor's best friend from the B-Town, Shakti Kapoor opened up about his feelings upon seeing the former's son's finally getting married. He revealed Rishi's excitement if he would have seen Ranbir's wedding with his eyes, and by mentioning Rishi's Punjabi attire, Shakti became emotional. Talking about the same, Shakti said:
“I feel sad whenever I realise that Chintu is not here to witness the wedding. I am sure he will be happy and dancing up there, and blessing the couple. I am so glad that Ranbir has not further delayed the wedding, which Chintu wanted to see with his own eyes. But life has to go on. It is the right time for Ranbir to get married now. Oh my god, you can’t even imagine how he would have danced today. When I close my eyes, I picture him wearing Punjabi safa, standing at the gate, laughing and being the gracious host.”
Further in the conversation, Shakti Kapoor recalled an incident with his friend, Rishi. For the unversed, Shakti is in Kolkata and wouldn't be attending the wedding as the Kapoor family wanted to keep it limited. However, Shakti wised Ranbir and Alia all the happiness and mentioned:
“Whenever I met Rishi, he would talk about Ranbir’s wedding. Hamesha bolta that ke ‘yaar aajkal ke baache shaadi kyun nahi karte’, something which I also keep on saying. Chintu said, ‘sahi time pe baache shaadi kyun nahi karte’, and then used to get worried also, saying, ‘waqt kharab chal raha hai, shaadi chalti nahi hai’. Aaj agar Chintu hota woh toh sab ko pagal kar deta. He would have been the happiest. I am just happy that Chintu’s wish has been fulfilled finally. Ranbir is mentally settled finally, and. They make a lovely couple, and wish them all the happiness.”
Earlier, not only Ranbir's family had stunned us with their pretty ensembles for the mehendi night, but we had also seen a glimpse of the ladkiwaales stunning in their traditional outfits. A video consisting of Alia Bhatt's father, Mahesh Bhatt and her step-sister, Pooja Bhatt had made its way on social media, in which we could see Pooja was flaunting her mehendi design. She was wearing a floral printed ensemble and had got a rose designed mehendi on her hand. She was sitting along with her father, Mahesh, who was falunting his mehendi written as 'RanAlia'.

A few days ago, we had got another confirmation about Ranbir-Alia's wedding. It was when we had stumbled upon a video where we could spot a car in which someone was carrying a big clothing bag while going towards Ranbir Kapoor's residence, Vastu, in Bandra. The oversized clothing bag had belonged to the famous bridal designer, Sabyasachi Mukherjee. As soon as the cab went in front of the building, someone was also spotted receiving all the designer outfits and taking them inside.
