Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor Khan once used to be one of the finest couples in Bollywood. The duo used to make an adorable pair with both their on-screen and off-screen chemistry. However, things didn't go well between the couple, and after a few years of their relationship, they parted ways. Cut to now, Shahid and Kareena are married to their respective partners and are living their blissful lives with their kids. Recently, an old video of Shahid Kapoor made rounds on social media, wherein he revealed if he was okay after his breakup with Kareena Kapoor.
In an interview with NDTV, Shahid Kapoor was asked by the host if he and Kareena are 'good friends' after parting ways. To this, Shahid said that he and Kareena are not in touch that often. To this, the host further asked the actor if he was okay. Shahid gave an adorable reply and stated that he had always been okay with everything. Citing an example about the same, Shahid revealed how he usually meets and greets people with a charming laugh always, no matter what. He also added how people constantly keep reminding him about something that was in the past. He further stated that it was all cool.

Going further in the interview, the host asked Shahid Kapoor if it bothers him as Kareena Kapoor being out there publicly with Saif Ali Khan. Answering the question, Shahid stated that they all are actors, and even if they try to be secretive about their lives, they do not really have much of a choice.
As soon as the video went viral, netizens rushed to the comment section to drop their opinions. While some users slammed the host for bringing up the actor's past, some even heaped praises on Shahid. Reacting to the video, one user penned, "Honestly, he was such a sweet guy, but life turned him into how he acts now." During an interview with the Bombay Times, Shahid Kapoor was asked if it had hurt him to break up with Kareena. Shahid gave an honest reply to this and stated it did hurt him, but he would rather cherish the good memories with the actress and move on in his life.
Yet, in another interview with film critic, Rajeev Masand, Shahid Kapoor shared that it was a very challenging period when he broke up with Kareena, and he was left with two options, personal life or professional life. The actor eventually made his choice and came out to promote the film, Jab We Met after his breakup with Kareena, which was a bit uncomfortable for him. Shahid mentioned that he had to draw a line as it would not have been classy to talk about his personal life openly.
