Recently, a user shared a clip on Threads, where 'King Khan' was seen taking away a fan’s phone as he tried to click a selfie with him on stage. The user captioned the post as:

"A video from the Joy Awards in Saudi Arabia is making rounds online, where a fan tried to take a selfie with Shah Rukh Khan, and SRK gently took the phone away. While some people are calling it arrogance, others feel moments like these are often misunderstood. Soon after the video went viral, netizens flooded the comment section. They defended the actor’s action. A user wrote, "He is clearly telling ki 'saamne se photo lo' so that the picture will be clearer." Another user commented, "Are they stupid? He's telling them someone else will take the picture, that way the prize can be seen too... They're not smart enough to see something so obvious." Pointing out that the superstar was following the protocol of the event, a user penned:

"SRK was following the protocol of the event, wherein he is supposed to click an official photo while presenting the award to the awardee. However,
people got excited to be in the same stage and frame as SRK and started clicking personal selfies. He just stopped them from doing the same and finished his obligations. No need to troll him for doing his duty."

Pointed out that clicking a selfie on a stage is not right, a user commented, "He's receiving an award. There are photos being clicked by professional photographers. They will be better than a selfie from any phone in the world. Selfies have their own place, and it's certainly not on a stage while receiving awards." Another user penned, "I think he is setting the boundary, nothing else." A user criticised SRK’s behaviour and wrote, "It's absolutely not acceptable SRK behaviour… the countdown starts to the downfall of SRK." In reply, a SRK fan commented, "What is unacceptable in this? He is following protocol and telling them the same. Why to take a selfie on stage with an award when there is a cameraman?"
