It was on October 3, 2021, when Shah Rukh Khan and his family had got the biggest shock when his elder son, Aryan Khan was arrested. The NCB team had raided a party on a Goa-bound cruise ship, where Aryan was with his friends and was booked for the consumption of drugs.
However, after 26 days, Aryan was granted bail by the Bombay High Court due to lack of evidence. The drug fiasco had left a huge trauma on Aryan as the star kid locked himself in his home and rarely got out for social gatherings. He even went missing from social media for one year.

On August 22, 2022, Aryan returned to social media after the long hiatus and posted pictures with his siblings, Suhana and AbRam. In the first picture, Aryan was seen posing with his sister, Suhana, and their little brother AbRam. The second picture featured Aryan posing with AbRam, who smiled adorably for the camera with his cute dimples. Aryan simply captioned the pictures as, “Hat-trick”. However, it was their dad, Shah Rukh Khan’s comment that was unmissable as he wrote:
“Why I don’t have these pictures!!!!!! Give them to me NOW!”
A few months back, India Today magazine did a cover story titled ‘Lessons From Aryan Khan Case’, in which the Deputy Director-General of NCB, Sanjay Singh had talked about the case in detail. Sanjay Singh stated that although he didn’t expect many questions from Aryan, the star kid had asked him whether he deserved to be in jail for so many weeks. Confronting him with ‘soul searching’ questions, Aryan had asked:
“Sir, you have painted me as an international drug trafficker, that I finance drug trafficking — aren’t these charges absurd? They did not find any drugs on my person that day and yet they arrested me. Sir, you have done me great wrong and ruined my reputation. Why did I have to spend so many weeks in jail — did I really deserve it?”

Sanjay Singh also talked about the conversation he had with Shah Rukh Khan and how the doting dad was concerned about Aryan’s physical and mental health after he got arrested. Sanjay stated that Shah Rukh was in tears when he alleged that his son was being ‘vilified’ without any evidence and had said:
“We have been painted as some kind of big criminals or monsters who are out to destroy society and we find going to work tough every day.”
On May 28, 2022, Aryan Khan was given a clean chit in the drug case due to lack of substantial evidence.
