However, during their performance on stage, Shah Rukh Khan and others called Ram Charan on the stage to join them, and his way of addressing Ram sparked a ray of debate. Shah Rukh has been facing backlash ever since he called Ram Charan Idli. And now, the Jawan actor's fanbase dug out the truth behind his remark.
In an inside video from Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant's pre-wedding soiree, Shah Rukh Khan could be seen addressing Ram Charan with some South Indian dishes names. The reason SRK called Ram on stage was because Nita Ambani wanted SRK, Aamir, Salman, and Ram Charan to dance to the song, Naatu Naatu. However, SRK could be heard saying, 'Bhend idli vada Ram Charan kahan hai tu', which left a certain section of netizens irked. However, some other media reports mentioned that not only the netizens but also Ram Charan himself was left upset after hearing such a remark. Well, it's worth mentioning that the authenticity of such reports cannot be determined.

On the other hand, soon after Shah Rukh Khan started facing backlash, his entire fan base came in support of the Jawan actor. Shah Rukh is loved not only for his acting skills but also for his humble personality, so it somewhat became impossible for people to believe that the actor had disrespected the megastar, Ram Charan. However, SRK's fans came in support of him and started sharing a clip from his movie, One 2 Ka 4, wherein he somewhat used a dialogue featuring the same South Indian dishes, with which he called Ram Charan on stage.
On the other hand, several sources also revealed that SRK even bowed down to Ram Charan, when he came up on the stage. Well, it's worth mentioning that SRK and Ram Charan share an adorable bond.
It was on March 4, 2024, when Upasana Kamineni's makeup artist, Zeba Hassan took to her IG stories and posted the video, along with a note, wherein she expressed her displeasure over Shah Rukh calling Ram Charan by the name of South Indian delicacies. On the other hand, a thread about the same was created on the discussion platform, Reddit, wherein netizens started claiming that SRK's way of calling Ram in that way was not at all right.

During the release of his film, Pathaan, SRK hosted an 'AskSrk' session, wherein a fan asked him to share what kind of relationship he shares with Ram Charan.
