Bollywood superstar, Shah Rukh Khan isn’t just a mega star in India but also has massive fandom globally. From Germany to New York, King Khan is renowned for his acting chops and is one of the biggest movie stars in the world. Apart from being an incredible actor, Shah Rukh is admired for the kind of person he is in real life. From always treating his female co-stars with utmost respect to being humble despite being a superstar, Shah Rukh is almost everyone’s favourite.
However, there has been an incident in the past when Shah Rukh Khan left his massive fanbase quite disappointed with the way he conducted himself in public. It was in the year 2011 when the famous American singer and songwriter, Lady Gaga visited India, and Shah Rukh Khan was invited to take her interview. It was a candid chat between the two global stars, and the crowd was really enjoying it until Shah Rukh decided to gift his wristwatch to Lady Gaga.

In a video from the same incident, Shah Rukh Khan could be seen sitting on the left side of the couch at the beginning. But as the conversation progressed, the actor leaned towards the singer and got closer to her.
While Shah Rukh insisted Lady Gaga to accept his wristwatch as a gift, the latter looked so much uncomfortable and even told him to give it to one of his fans. It was quite shocking for netizens to see this version of Shah Rukh, and as the video of the incident made its way to the internet, several people started mocking the actor.
One Reddit user blamed Shah Rukh Khan for trying too hard to impress Lady Gaga, and his/her comment on the video could be read as “Bollywood and everyone associated with it are cheap trash. Lady Gaga was definitely not comfortable.” Another user slammed Shah Rukh for not coming prepared and thinking that the iconic singer would get impressed just like his female co-stars in Bollywood. The nasty comment could be read as “Clearly he did not came prepared. Or maybe he thought he will jury-rig it like he does to his Bullywud gals. But it didn't worked.”

While most of the comments were against Shah Rukh Khan, there were still some people, who were defending his actions. Some of his fans speculated that it was a scripted show, and both Shah Rukh and Lady Gaga were informed about the same.

Although it looked quite awkward on screen, but it was reportedly scripted. One user defended Shah Rukh, saying that he was just joking in order to make Lady Gaga feel comfortable, but the latter considered it as flirting. An excerpt of the long comment could be read as:
"I think SRK is trying his best to make her comfortable the way he does but on the other hand Lady Gaga's thinking this as flirting coming from such a big superstar."
