Influencer Sejal Kumar And Childhood Love Bharat Opt For Mountain Wedding, Says, 'We Thought Of..'

Content creator, Sejal Kumar got married to her childhood love, Bharat Subramaniam. The couple had an intimate mountain wedding in Mussoorie, Uttarakhand, and the official wedding snaps are out. The pictures were shared by Sejal Kumar's wedding photographer. The pair's dreamy wedding, along with the mehendi and haldi ceremonies, was attended by their closest friends and family. All the functions were held at JW Marriott Walnut Grove, Mussoorie.

For the wedding ceremony, Sejal and Bharat had turned to designer, Sabyasachi, known for blending timeless design with grandeur. Sejal's bridal look for the pheras was luminous. She was styled by Sheefa Gilani, while her makeup was done by Kuhu Gupta. Sejal's wardrobe was a reflection of her modern take on the Indian couture. Sejal had worn a Gauri & Nainika gown for her reception in Mussoorie. For the pheras, Sejal looked radiant in a Gulgasta lehenga, which she coupled with a chand blouse.

Bharat, on the other hand, for the pheras had complemented Sejal in an off white hued Sabyasachi sherwani that he teamed up with a floral stole. For the unversed, the couple were in the same school from pre-primary to class 12, but their first conversation took place when they were having gol gappas at a family wedding. Sejal, for her Delhi reception, had worn her mom's 37-year-old classic brocade saree that she had purchased for Rs. 900 back in the day.

Sejal Kumar remembers the first conversation she had with Bharat Subramaniam

Sejal Kumar and Bharat Subramaniam have known each other since their childhood. Sejal, in an interview with the Vogue recalled of Bharat as the head boy of the school. She also spoke about the first conversation she had with Bharat. Sejal revealed that he was saying something super goofy, which made her think that he was easy to be around. Back then, Sejal had just started off her YouTube channel and posting links on friends' Facebook walls was considered as something very normal. In her words:

"I shamelessly posted the link of my first two videos on Bharat’s wall. Since he was really sweet, I felt safe that he wouldn’t call me cringe, because that was the main fear of starting something new back then. He didn’t. He actually commented on my videos from those wall posts, wishing me luck.”

Years had passed, and Sejal had shifted to Mumbai and Bharat to the US. It was in 2019 when she received a Facebook birthday notification, and on a completely random impulse, she DM'd Bharat, wishing him happy birthday. Sejal described their first meeting as awkward and formal, though the couple had made plans to meet during their winter vacation.

Sejal Kumar reveals why she and Bharat Subramaniam had a winter wedding in Mussoorie

Sejal and Bharat were together for one and a half years in Delhi before he had shifted to the US. Long distance did not affect their relationship as they used to talk in the mornings and evenings, and it was great for them as they were emotionally independent. Sejal revealed why she opted for a mountain wedding in Mussoorie and shared:

"We love sitting out in the winter sun and we both love mountains. So we just thought of mountain locations in India and landed on Mussoorie. We wanted a place where our closest people come and stay with us for the whole weekend."
