Seema Sajdeh Reveals Being Depressed After Her Amicable Divorce With Sohail Khan, 'I Was Scared...'

Seema Sajdeh has never shied away from speaking the truth. For those who do not know, Seema was previously married to well-known actor, Sohail Khan. The two parted ways in 2022. She grabbed attention for her role in Netflix's Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives. Well, recently, Seema opened up about her amicable divorce with Sohail and her life after it.

Seema Sajdeh tied the knot with Sohail Khan at a very young age

Recently, Seema Sajdeh sat down for a candid conversation with Usha Kakade Productions, during which she opened up about her marriage and divorce with Sohail. Seema shared that she got married to the actor at a very young age. And as they grew older, they realised that they were better off as friends. She further stated that rather than having fights on a regular basis, they chose to part ways mutually. Seema Sajdeh was quoted as saying:

"We were both very young when we got married. I was just 22. As we grew older, we grew in different directions. Our thoughts changed. Eventually, we realised we were better friends than husband and wife. It was better to separate than to fight every day. We didn’t want to spoil the environment at home. Khit-pit se acha hai we separated. We separated amicably, but only as husband and wife. Till date, we are a family. He is the father of my children, and that can never change."

Seema Sajdeh went through depression after her divorce

During the same candid chat, Seema Sajdeh revealed that she was depressed after her divorce with Sohail Khan and her children might have also gone through it. Seema further stated that she and Sohail had waited for a long time to part ways as they wanted the best for their children. 

Seema Sajdeh also opened up about the things she had to learn as a single mother. She stated that earlier her father and Sohail used to manage the bills, insurance and more. But now she had to take care of everything. In her words:

"I was scared of being lonely. I didn’t know anything about mobile bills, banking or finances. Earlier, my father handled these things and after marriage, Sohail did. Suddenly, I had to learn about life insurance, medical insurance, everything. As a single woman, I now have to focus more on my business, pay my own bills and take care of my kids. Divorce taught me time management as we both get equal time with our kids."

Who was the villain in Seema Sajdeh and Sohail Khan’s love story?

When Seema Sajdeh was asked about the villain of their story and who initiated the divorce, the actress-turned-entrepreneur firmly stated that she and Sohail parted ways mutually. She explained that nobody was at fault. Seema shared:

"That’s very unfair. A relationship involves two people. Both are responsible for making it work, or not. We never took this decision lightly. We largely took it keeping our children in mind. We were kids when we got married, and it wasn’t anyone’s fault."
