Meet Scottie Scheffler's Wife, Meredith Scudder, All About Their Love Story And Growing Family

Scottie Scheffler is having a big year, not just in golf but at home, too. Just days before the 2026 Masters Tournament at Augusta National Golf Club, he and his wife, Meredith Scudder, welcomed their second son, Remy, on March 27, 2026. Soon after, the newborn even made an appearance at the course on April 5, 2026. Meredith has been there long before the wins, long before the green jackets. Their journey started in school and has grown into a family of four, built gradually through the years.

Scottie Scheffler and Meredith Scudder first met as teenagers at Highland Park High School in Dallas. At first, they were just classmates. Things changed in their final year when they started dating. Their relationship didn’t stay easy for long. After school, they went to different colleges. Meredith joined Texas A&M, while Scottie went to the University of Texas. The two schools are big rivals, and they are also in different cities.

Still, they both stayed together. For four years, they made long distance work. They kept showing up for each other, even when it wasn’t simple. Later, Scheffler joked during a 2023 Sentry Tournament of Champions press conference, “I had to woo her for a few years.” In June 2020, he proposed during a hike at Arbor Hills Nature Preserve in Texas. It was quiet, personal, and true to who they are. That same year, they got married.

Scottie Scheffler and Meredith Scudder got married on December 4, 2020, in their hometown. The ceremony was held in a church with close friends and family around them. After that, they celebrated with a winter-themed reception. The place was filled with lights, red bows, and a holiday feel. Guests even wore Santa hats, and the couple left in a golf cart with a “Just Married” sign.

Their life changed again in May 2024 when they welcomed their first son, Bennett. It came just weeks after Scheffler won his second Masters title. He shared the moment online, writing, “Welcome to the world little one. Your mom & dad love you so much.” Then came another big moment in March 2026. Their second son, Remy, was born just days before the Masters. Even with the pressure of a major tournament, Scheffler had his family close.

Meredith Scudder’s work and life away from the spotlight

While Scottie Scheffler is often in front of cameras, Meredith Scudder keeps her life more grounded. She works with a nonprofit called Behind Every Door, where she serves as a connections liaison. The group focuses on helping kids and families, especially those facing tough situations. Meredith once expressed her thoughts in a conversation shared by Veritex Community Bank for Essential Golf. She said:

“I believe everyone has unique gifting. I love being part of an organization that is showing kids their giftings and giving them a chance to not only discover those gifts but see who God created them to be.”

Scottie is also involved in the same work. He spoke about why it matters to them, saying, “We love that it starts with listening. We don’t say, ‘This is what you need,’ but rather, ‘We want to build a relationship with you and walk alongside you.’” Their shared values are a big part of their relationship. It’s not just about golf or public life. It’s about what they care about when no one is watching.

Meredith Scudder supporting Scottie Scheffler’s career

When Meredith first met Scottie, she didn’t fully understand golf. Scheffler once shared a memory from his early career. He was at her house when a commercial for a tournament came on TV. Meredith looked at it and asked if he was playing in that event. When he said yes, she realised how serious his career was and simply said, “Wow, that’s cool!” Over time, she learned more about the game. Scheffler said in 2023, “She’s learned fast. She’s a student of the game.” She even carried his bag during the Par 3 contest at the Masters, which showed how involved she had become. Their relationship also has light, funny moments. One small example is his very specific Chipotle order. In a video with Golf Digest, Meredith joked about how detailed it is.

Scheffler explained it himself. He orders a bowl with extra rice, a bit of black beans, chicken, and then adds steak separately. He skips some toppings but always adds cheese. He also insists on eating it with a spoon, not a fork. Meredith laughed about it, but Scheffler defended himself, saying people use forks like spoons anyway, so he’s just doing it the right way. These small details show a different side of their life. Scottie Scheffler and Meredith Scudder’s story feels loving, and that’s what makes it strong. From school days in Dallas to raising two kids while managing a global sports career, they have grown by taking small steps. And even now, with everything happening around them, they still move forward as a team.
