Colin Jost is an actor, comedian, and writer. He has been a writer on Saturday Night Live since 2005 and a co-anchor of the Weekend Update segment since 2014. Currently, Colin is SNL's co-head writer alongside Weekend Update co-anchor Michael Che. In 2020, Jost released a memoir entitled A Very Punchable Face: A Memoir. According to his IMDb profile, Colin was born on June 29, 1982, in Staten Island, New York City, New York, USA.

Scarlett Johansson and Colin Jost first crossed paths in 2006. At the time, Scarlett first hosted the comedy show Saturday Night Live (SNL), and Colin had just started working as a writer on the show. Although the duo had known each other since 2006, people did not start linking them romantically until May 2017. Back then, Scarlett made a special guest appearance in the season finale of SNL.
According to Page Six, after the show, Scarlett and Colin hugged on stage during the usual closing moments. Later, at the afterparty, the couple was reportedly seen kissing, which led to rumors that they were dating. However, Jost declined to comment on the relationship rumors, telling PEOPLE that he didn't really like to talk about his private life.
In September 2017, Jost opened up about his romance with Scarlett. Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, the writer said that Scarlett was pretty cool and he was very happy with her. He added that he felt lucky to have her in his life. After months of keeping their relationship low-key, the two made their public debut as a couple at the American Museum of Natural History Gala in New York City in November 2017.

In October 2020, the couple tied the knot in an intimate ceremony amid the COVID-19 pandemic, keeping it small with close friends and family. One year later, in August 2021, they welcomed their son, Cosmo. On April 18, 2023, the Black Widow actress spoke about her marriage to Jost on Gwyneth Paltrow's Goop podcast. She called him a compassionate person. Over the years, they stayed together through thick and thin.
