Savannah Guthrie Urges Kidnapper After Search For Missing Mother Crosses 100 Days 'Bring Her Home'

The Guthrie family are still navigating the toughest time of their life. Savannah Guthrie, who woke up thinking February 1, 2026, was another normal day for her as the host of The Today Show, got the worst news of her life. It was her mother, Nancy Guthrie's friend, who reached out to her to know her whereabouts as she missed their church session.

After which, Savannah left her job and ran to her mother's place to find out what had gone wrong. As the search began for Nancy, Savannah kept her hopes high of reuniting with her 84-year-old mother. After months of no clue, Savannah rejoined her work, but her hopes are still high that she will be able to meet her mother again.

On May 13, 2026, Savannah took to her Instagram stories and re-shared a post which is a Bible verse from @lordverses. It stated how one should keep praying no matter how hopeless life seems, as God is the only one who can change one's entire life. Atop it, Savannah urged the kidnapper to bring her mother back. The post can be read as:

Just three days ago, Savannah Guthrie penned a Mother's Day note with a heavy heart. She shared a reel featuring old family photos, including those of Nancy, her children and her grandchildren. She penned an emotional caption which read:

“Mother, daughter, sister, Nonie – we miss you with every breath. We will never stop looking for you. We will never be at peace until we find you.”

While the family has been dealing with the tough time, the internet was busy speculating about the kidnapper. From Savannah Guthrie's ex-husband to her sister and brother-in-law were under the internet's radar. It extended to a point that the Guthries shared in a cryptic way how the family is together in times of crisis. So far, cops have not yet arrested a suspect. But a lot of people were caught in the fire of the investigation, including a man who had sent a false ransom note to the family. A man was detained at a traffic stop, but he was released later.
