Back then, Savannah was undergoing a divorce from her first husband, Mark Orchard. Savannah and Mark parted ways in 2009. Later that year, the TODAY co-host began dating Michael Feldman. The pair got engaged five years later in 2014 in Turks and Caicos. However, after Michael popped the question, she broke up with him. Recalling the moment, Savannah said on The Kelly Clarkson Show in 2025:
"I really didn’t think it was happening. So I was like, 'Honey, we love each other, but this has been going on too long. Let’s just say goodbye. Let’s just let each other go.'"

However, Michael suggested they enjoy the day while Savannah was weepy all day. As they sipped champagne at sunset, Michael proposed to Savannah. It really surprised her, and she became happy. The two got married in March 2014 and surprised everyone by announcing that she was four months pregnant with their first baby. Savannah is a mom to her daughter, Vale and son, Charley. Back in 2023, Savannah opened up about how her mom gave her the confidence that one day she would be a great mom. Savannah was quoted as saying:
"When I was in my 30s, I really wished to be married and be a mom, and things just did not happen that fast for me. And my mom’s confidence that one day I would be a mom—even as the years ticked by and ticked by and ticked by—meant so much to me. She said, 'Of course you’ll be a mom, Savannah. You’re going to be a mom, and you’re going to be a wonderful mom.'"
