The brightest phase of her life turned out to be a nightmare for a San Antonio-based nurse, who collapsed on the second day of her honeymoon. The nurse, whose name is Sarah Danh, was in a life-threatening condition and was rushed to a hospital. It was for three weeks that she was struggling with her health, and it has been a challenging phase for her family as well.

However, it was only a few weeks back that she returned to Texas in an emergency medical evacuation flight. Now, her uncle shared a detailed note, revealing that she has been improving. Sarah Danh has been on life support for all these weeks. Here's what happened to her and how she is doing, right now!

Sarah Danh is 27 years old, and she reportedly collapsed during her honeymoon in Japan. Liver failure and other underlying health issues were the reason her health started to decline, so much so that she was in a coma. She was first hospitalised overseas on April 9, 2026, and then was taken to Texas and kept on life support.

Recently, bride Sarah's uncle took to his social media and revealed that for the last few days, she has been doing well. According to a report by PPEOPLE, she has been showing some improvements in terms of responding and is slowly emerging from the coma. She has been squeezing her mom's fingers and nodding to several questions, which has made them hopeful about her eventually getting better. Doctors have revealed to Sarah's family that there have been signs of brain damage as well, but the family members were assured that it was reversible.

On April 300, 2026, Sarah's uncle, Khang Le, took to his social media and shared a post, wherein he revealed that his niece has been physically getting stronger and showing signs of improvement. While she has been on life support for several weeks, she is not right now, and currently, she is breathing on her own. Sarah, who collapsed on her honeymoon, is now able to even wiggle her toes and move her hands, which is a major sign that she is responding to the treatments that she has been receiving. He said:

"Since my last update, Sarah's condition has been improving each day, and she is physically getting stronger. She is no longer on life support and is breathing on her own. She has also been able to wiggle her toes and move her arms. Perhaps the biggest moment came when doctors helped her stand and take a few small steps. This morning, the doctors tested her strength and helped her stand. With assistance, Sarah was able to take a few small steps."

Sarah Danh has been able to walk, while her speech abilities remain limited

For the unversed, a GoFundMe page was created for Sarah, which was able to collect a fund of USD 187K. Sarah's uncle further mentioned in her note that on April 30, 2026, doctors had checked her strength and helped her to stand and walk, and she was actually able to take a few steps. Sarah has also been able to express her feelings lately and show her happiness, discomfort, and sorrow. While she is definitely improving, she is far from getting better. According to her uncle, she cannot sip, eat, speak, and her motor and speech abilities are really limited at this moment. Her memories also often come and go.
