Recently, a video of Sara Ali Khan from her graduation ceremony back in 2013 resurfaced online. In the video, we can see Sara being called on the stage with the name 'Sara Sultan'. The video featured Sara taking her graduation certificate from Nita Ambani and Aamir Khan. However, when Sara took her certificate, we can see her parents, Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh. Moreover, Saif and Amrita can be seen beaming with pride as their daughter added a feather to her hat. For those who don't know, Sara holds a graduation degree in history and political science, which she acquired at Columbia University.

As soon as the video surfaced online, netizens rushed to the comment section to pen down their opinions. Moreover, netizens remained confused about why the actress was addressed as 'Sara Sultan' when her name is 'Sara Ali Khan'. Reacting to the video, one user wrote, "So their last name is Sultan????? What." Another user penned, "That is their name. They use "Ali Khan Pataudi" for nepo unity." A third comment reads, "Why is she called Sara Sultan here? In an old interview with East India Comedy, Sara Ali Khan revealed that back in the day, whenever she travelled to the US, the airport authorities used to stare at her in suspense, which was because of her dissimilarities with the photos on her ID, caused by her 96kg weight loss. The actress also mentioned that she has multiple visas, including a student visa and a regular visa, which becomes shady for the airport authorities. The actress also remarked that she has 'Sultan' as her title on her student visa, but she won't talk about this much as she didn't want to get banned. Sara stated:
“My regular visa, my student visa, and me currently are all different. So, they are like, ‘What is going on? This is a bit shady.’ My surname is Sultan, and it is America, so you can just imagine."

It was back in 2020 when Sara Ali Khan took to her IG handle and dropped some throwback photos from her graduation ceremony at Columbia University in 2016. In the photos, the diva slipped into a white mini-dress, which she wore underneath her coat and hat. A soft touch of makeup, open hair, and a pair of white heels did proper justice to her look. Sharing the photos, Sara penned that it's unbelievable how time just files.
