The fifth episode of Koffee with Karan season 6 which witnessed the father-daughter duo, Saif Ali Khan and Sara Ali Khan is hitherto one of the most fun-filled episodes this season. The actress-in-making, Sara Ali Khan is breaking the internet like how. From Saif’s little munchkin, Taimur Ali Khan’s rate card to Sara’s revelation that she wants to marry Ranbir Kapoor but date Kartik Aaryan, the last night’s episode came with many more revelations which have stirred the pot. We all know that Sara is Saif’s daughter from his first wife, Amrita Singh. Saif and Amrita were married from 1991 to 2004. Saif then went on to marry his Tashan co-star, Kareena Kapoor. Now, apart from it being a second marriage, and Sara being Kareena’s stepdaughter, the three (Saif, Kareena and Sara) share a healthy and amicable relationship with each other. Revealing her equation with Kareena, Sara shared, “You know everybody has been very clear with me. It has never been confusing. Kareena herself was saying and she still says that 'You have a mother and you have a great mother at that. What I want is for us to be able to be friends.' My father also never said, 'This is your second mother' or made it anyway uncomfortable.”
Sara also revealed that initially, she was facing so much dilemma about what to call her stepmom, Kareena. Talking about the same, the Kedarnath actress quipped, “I think Kareena would probably have a nervous breakdown if I was going to call her, 'Choti Ma'. She would be like, 'No!' I used to be like, 'What should I call her? Kareena, Kareena aunty' My father's like 'You don't want to call her aunty. So you can call her 'K' or 'Kareena’.”
Further adding that she has two happy homes instead of one unhappy home, the 25-year-old added, “They would have been very unhappy together had they stick together. They took the right decision and now, everyone's happy. I'm happy, abba is happy, mumma is happy, and Kareena is happy. I have two comfortable homes now, rather than having an uncomfortable home.”
More revelations came from the father as well. He revealed that he had written a letter to his ex-wife, Amrita Singh on his wedding day with Kareena. Saif shared, “When I was getting married to Kareena, for some reason, I wrote a note to Amrita saying this is a new chapter starting. I wrote we had a history and something on the lines of good wishes for both of us. I sent it to Kareena to take a look. I sent it across. Sara called me and said, ‘I was coming anyway but now, I am coming with a happy heart.’ I think that story sums up the attitude of everyone involved.”
After Saif was done talking about his D-day, Sara revealed something which would fill your heart with ecstasy. She revealed that on Saif and Kareena’s wedding day, it was Amrita who had dressed Sara. The latter revealed, “My mom dressed me for my father’s wedding. A lot of people would be of the opinion that Kareena was being weird or mom was being weird. It was very comfortable. Everyone was so mature. It was not a big deal.”
Social media users have also been raving about Sara’s amazing transformation as Karan showed two clips of Sara from her younger days. In the first, she could be seen enacting a death scene and in the second, she is dancing to a peppy Hindi song. Sara herself talked about her weight that she used to weigh 96 kgs and added, “I had PCOD and I still do because of which I put on a lot of weight. There was a hormone problem. It made it hard for me to lose weight and the hormone level was high.”
Sara also revealed that she would always look up to Kareena, and said, “I always looked up to her as an actress. She was always Poo, but then I have to tell myself she is now my father's wife.”
In an earlier interview, Saif has revealed that when it comes to Sara, Amrita and he are always on the same page. He was quoted as saying, “Amrita and I are on the same page as far as Sara and her acting debut is concerned. We never had any such conversation. I am fully supportive of Sara's acting ambitions and we discuss things in detail.”
On the professional front, Sara Ali Khan’s debut film, Kedarnath is slated to release on December 07, 2018. Now that we know she is such a witty and humorous person off-screen, we can’t wait to see her on-screen.
