And that's exactly what Bollywood diva, Sara Ali Khan did when she had accepted her 'crush' for Kartik Aaryan on national television. The entire nation hooted for Sara when she had bared her heart out in 2018 on the celebrity chat show, Koffee With Karan. We still remember how Kartik had reacted to it at the red carpet of Lux Golden Awards 2018. He had turned all red and had said, "I don’t know what to say to that. All I can say is that she is very pretty and I am looking forward to her film." Kartik had further added that he would like to go on a coffee date with Sara. In that moment, the entire nation was praying for Kartik and Sara to become a couple. And our hope of seeing them together turned into reality (at least on the silver screen) by director Imitiaz Ali, who took them in his film, Love Aaj Kal.
There is no doubt that Sara and Kartik look like a perfect couple when they are together. And maybe, that's the reason why there have been rumours and speculations that the two are dating each other. Recently, in an interview with Pinkvilla, Sara opened up on her relationship status with Kartik. She shared that the rumours don't affect her as she is okay with it. Sara added that she will say what comes to her mind because that's how she is and it's important to not have that filter. Talking about her dating status, Sara shared that she is dating him in the film and that is what matters right now.
A couple of weeks ago, at the trailer launch of Kartik and Sara's upcoming film, Love Aaj Kal, the two were greeted with the burning question of 'what is brewing between them'. To this, Kartik had replied that when Sara had confessed her crush for him on national television, he had developed a crush on her. After that, he got shy. The actor had further shared that he doesn't know how to answer this question and had simple stated, "Jab bhi aap mujhse aise sawaal poochte hai ya inse aise sawaal poochte hai, toh jawaab kya dein? Sara, who had always been vocal about her feelings, made sure to express her gratitude to be part of her dream film, Love Aaj Kal. Sara had penned a heartwarming note for Kartik and had shared a couple of pictures with him. Her note could be read as, "It's a WRAP!! 66 days & a million memories Thank you @imtiazaliofficial for making my dream come true I truly appreciate your warmth, patience and consideration with me every single day. Being on your set has been a privilege that I will always cherish and already miss. Thank you @kartikaaryan for instantly making me comfortable with you, for selflessly giving and for consistently looking out for me. From coffee’s about you to chai’s with you, I wish we could do it all over again. I’m going to miss you more than you know and more than I can admit."
In an interview with ETimes, Sara Ali Khan's father and actor, Saif Ali Khan had shared what he thinks about his daughter's relationship buzz with Kartik Aaryan. He had said, "In-person Sara is good, she knows what she wants and usually likes nice people. So I'm sure he's (Kartik) a lovely guy because you know I have full trust in her values and what kind of things she would be drawn to. So you know, if she likes him, then he must be nice."
