The Pataudi family left no stone unturned to make Sharmila Tagore feel loved and special on her 76th birthday. The day had begun with heartfelt wishes from the family and in the evening, Sharmila’s doting daughter, Soha Ali Khan organised a virtual birthday celebration. The virtual celebrations were joined by Saba Ali Khan and their other family members. Sharing a screenshot of the video call, Soha had put a “Happy Birthday” sticker atop it.
Though Sharmila Tagore had spent her 76th birthday away from the family this time due to the pandemic as Saif Ali Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Soha Ali Khan, Kunal Kemmu, Ibrahim Ali Khan, Taimur Ali Khan and Inaaya Naumi Kemmu were in Mumbai, her granddaughter, Sara Ali Khan made up for everyone. Sara made some special arrangements for her Badi Amman, Sharmila for her 76th birthday and giving a glimpse of the same, she wrote, “Happy happy Birthday Badi Amman. Thank you for being my pillar of support, guiding force and inspiration. I love you lots.” For the birthday celebrations, while Sharmila looked graceful as ever in a red kurti set with a black jacket, Sara donned a peach salwar kameez.
Sharmila Tagore’s 76th birthday had begun with a beautiful wish from her eldest daughter, Saba Ali Khan, who revealed her favourite memory with her amma. In an interview with SpotboyE, Sharmila Tagore had spoken about how impressed and proud she is of her granddaughter, Sara Ali Khan. Revealing the moments when she felt proud of Sara, Sharmila said, “I am very impressed by her… though I don’t see why her self confidence should surprise me. But whether it was Koffee With Karan, Rajeev Masand, BBC…her confidence humility and charm made me so happy… it’s so heartwarming to see her the way she has turned out. When asked what she’s doing in films after going to Columbia University she said the education was for her growth as a person and not for career. She’s never tongue-tied. And how well she stood up for her father on Karan Johar’s show I am really proud of her.” (Also Read: Kareena Kapoor Khan Stuns In A Mauve Coloured Maternity Dress As She Gets Clicked With Saif Ali Khan)
