Born into a family of superstars, Nargis Dutt and Sunil Dutt, Sanjay Dutt has always been a charmer. Right from the days of his debut till this day, the actor enjoys a massive female fan following. It was in 1981 when he made his acting debut in the film, Rocky and became an overnight sensation. Many leading actresses of that time fell in love with him, and the actor had reportedly dated many B-town divas.
And one of them was actress, Tina Munim, with whom, Sanjay shared a warm bond. Sanjay Dutt and Tina Munim were childhood friends, and soon their friendship had turned into love. It was during Sanjay’s debut movie, Rocky opposite Tina when their relationship had become stronger and the two had fallen in love. But their affair could not last forever. Tina left Sanjay due to his destructive drinking habit.

When Sanjay and Tina were dating each other, he was so possessive about her that one day he went to Rishi Kapoor’s home thinking that he was having an affair with Tina. Actor, Gulshan Grover, who was Sanjay’s close friend, mentioned the incident in Rishi Kapoor’s autobiography, Khullam Khulla and shared how he accompanied Sanjay to Rishi’s home.
Narrating the incident, Gulshan also revealed that it was Rishi Kapoor’s then-fiancée, Neetu Kapoor, who made Sanjay understand that there was no such relationship between Rishi and Tina. In his words:
“It’s true. Sanju was having an affair with Tina Munim at the time, and he thought that Chintu was having one with her too. Sanju and I were like brothers, and he told me one day, ‘We have to go to Chintu’s house and beat him up’. We went to do that, but his fiancée Neetuji managed to convince us that Chintu was not in any such relationship. So we left.”

During a throwback interview with Stardust Magazine, Sanjay Dutt talked about his love for Tina and revealed that she had a strong influence on him after his mother, Nargis’ death. When asked if Sanjay had turned a blind eye to the industry link-up rumours of Tina, he stated:
“My girl has been linked with so many men that it is physically impossible for any woman to cope with so many of them in such a short time. I have not defended her blindly. Each time I’ve heard or read about her, I’ve gone insane with anger – but most of the time, she has managed to convince me that what I’ve heard is not true. I love her too much not to believe her. One has to trust somebody sometime, and I trust her."
Sanjay is happily married to Maanayata Dutt, and the couple is blessed with two children. Sanjay also has a daughter from his first marriage to Richa Sharma. Tina, on the other hand, is married to Anil Ambani, and they have two sons, Jai Anshul Ambani, and Jai Anmol Ambani.
