In 2018, Shoaib Malik and Sania Mirza had ended the month of October in a perfect way when they had announced the arrival of their ‘Baby Mirza Malik’. Sania had penned down her pregnancy and post-pregnancy journey, giving zillion goals to millions! Sania and Shoaib had stepped into the new phase of their lives by embracing parenthood with the stork visiting them with their son, Izhaan Mirza Malik on October 30, 2018. Time flies by within the blink of an eye! Seems like just yesterday, when ‘Baby Mirza Malik’ had arrived in this world and the little one was snapped by the shutterbugs with his mommy, Sania Mirza, coming out of the hospital. While leaving Rainbow Children's Hospital and Birthright by Rainbow, stationed at Hyderabad's Banjara Hills locality, Sania and her newborn, Izhaan were captured for the first time together. Sporting a loose cross-checked maxi dress with an orange shawl, and her newborn baby cuddled in her arms in an orange-yellow-white blanket, the very first picture of Sania and baby Izhaan in one frame was a treat to the eyes!
On October 30, 2019, Izhaan Mirza Malik turned 1 and to mark this special day, his doting mommy, Sania Mirza posted a heartfelt wish for him. Sharing a picture of ‘just born’ Izhaan, smiling on his first day in this world, Sania wrote, “Exactly one year since you came into this world and became our world... you smiled the first day you were born and continue to spread smiles everywhere you go... my truest, purest most amazing boy... I LOVE YOU and I promise to be by your side until my last breath... Happy Birthday my little angel. I pray Allah gives you everything you work towards and desire and continue to grow into the most loving and gentle boy that you already are... InshaAllah... Thank you for choosing us my little Izhaan #HappybirthdayIzhaan.” In her next post, Sania shared a video of an excited Izhaan, sitting on his khaala, Anam Mirza's lap, and captioned it as “We’ve been looking forward to today for a bit now #Izzy."
Ever since Izhaan Mirza Malik was born, Sania Mirza and Shoaib Malik had teased their fans with little glimpses of their little bundle of joy. Izhaan Mirza Malik’s star mommy, Sania Mirza often takes to Instagram to share glimpses of their mommy-son life with her fans. It was sometime back when Sania had taken to Instagram and had posted a mesmerising black-and-white picture of herself with son, Izhaan, where they were both gazing at the camera. Just 5 days after Izhaan Mirza Malik was born, Sania Mirza had shared two adorable pictures of him, one was of the little one watching a cricket match played by his daddy Shoaib, and the other is of three white sports shoes. The then-newbie mommy had captioned the pictures as “So it’s been 5 days since we came into this world. Me as a mother and my little Izhaan as my son. We’ve even watched Baba play some cricket together since we’ve arrived it truly is the biggest match, tournament achievement I’ve ever won or had and there is no feeling or blessing that can be greater than this.. I finally have gotten sometime after this overwhelming feeling to get online and check the messges and love we have received. Shoaib and I feel truly blessed and humbled with the wishes and love that us as parents and Izhaan have received. Thank you to each and every one of you ..we love you right back! In an interview with The Times of India, Sania Mirza had questioned the people, who had targeted her why she is not with her son, and in return had asked them that why they haven’t ever interrogated Shoaib about the same. Sania had said, “Why go as far as Roger Federer? Nobody even asks Shoaib. My husband has been in the Caribbean for a month playing a T20 league and I’m pretty sure nobody has asked him why he is not with his son. But I am asked these questions. And that has to do with a deeper mentality that a woman is supposed to stop her life when the child arrives.
