Known for her trenchant responses and owning the tennis court, Sania Mirza needs no introduction. The former World No. 1 in the women's doubles rankings, part of Time magazine's 2016 list of the '100 Most Influential People In The World' and The Economic Times' list of, '33 Women Who Made India Proud', Sania is a name synonymous with tennis, not only in India but across the world. With innumerable milestones in her life and many more to come, Sania ringed in her 32nd birthday on November 15, 2018. Sania Mirza, who is on cloud nine these days, courtesy her newborn little baby boy, celebrated her 32nd birthday amidst family, friends and Junior Mirza Malik. Sania had a birthday bash with her family by her side including husband, Shoaib Malik, sister Anam Mirza, parents Imran Mirza and Nasima Mirza and the little munchkin, Izhaan Mirza Malik. Sania, Anam and Shoaib shared some glimpses of the birthday celebrations. Check out all the pictures:
Sania thanked everyone for the wishes and shared a lovely picture of herself, “Thank you to everyone who made my birthday soo sooo special. I had an awesome day with my loved ones and all your wishes made my day even better .. thank you and I love you all right back”
Amongst all the birthday pictures, our favourite capture was their family photo with the little one cuddled in Sania’s arms. Shoaib shared the picture and tweeted, “Celebrations! My son turns 16 days old on the same day my wife turned 16 years young, and my mother in law too. Life set hey Alhumdulilah Alhumdulilah Alhumdulilah”. Sania and her mother, Nasima Mirza celebrate their birthday on the same day. Sania’s sister, Anam took her Instagram to wish her sister and her mother. For Sania, she wrote the caption, “From you doing this to me and now me doing this to your baby. Happy Birthday @mirzasaniar. Thank you for being all that you are to me.” And for her mother, she wrote, “Everything that I am, is because of you. I love you more than you'll ever know. But, I'll fight with you every day except today. Happy Birthday mamma”.
Sania’s father, Imran Mirza wished his ‘Champion’ ladies on their birthday with adorable pictures. For Sania, he wrote, “Many happy returns of the day to my Champion!” and for his wife, “Many happy returns of the day to the 'Mother of all Champions'!!”
In 2018, Sania celebrated her first birthday as a mother because just 16 days ago, she embraced motherhood and welcomed a baby boy in her life. This indeed was a special day for the newbie mommy. Announcing the arrival of Baby Mirza Malik on October 30, 2018, the elated father Shoaib tweeted, “Excited to announce: It’s a boy, and my girl is doing great and keeping strong as usual #Alhumdulilah. Thank you for the wishes and Duas, we are humbled #BabyMirzaMalik”. Revealing the name of the baby, he further tweeted, “Thank you from the bottom of our heart to everyone for the wishes from Sania and I, and our families. Our son’s name is Izhaan #BabyMirzaMalik.”
Shoaib is the captain of Punjabi Legends of T10League, which started on November 21, 2018, and will go on till December 2, 2018, but he isn’t a part of it. Tweeting about the same, Shoaib wrote, “I announce with mixed feelings that I will be not be part of @PunjabiLegends_ #T10League to spend time with my family. This was a tough decision (sp since my wife thinks I should play) but I want to be with my wife and son more than anything else.
